  1. Grandeur of the Seas sailed for at least six months with a HUGE dent in the side. Actually, it was a gash big enough to be able to see into the ship. They covered the gash with duct tape, painted it white and sailed until they were able to make repairs during a dry dock. They would lower a lifeboat at each port to cover the dent from view. True story. Except the part about the duct tape.

  2. Remember, your worst day on a cruise is better than your best day at work!:)

I can't even remember the last time I had a bad day at work. I just walk around and take pics of empty houses. Not much to dislike, and an occasional run in with a surly neighbor just makes the day that much better. ;):)

  3. Post on his FB page wall a few days before sailing. Let him know the date, ship and cabin number. It's hit or miss, with Dream being the worst, but you will likely get some goodies. Chocolate covered berries, a SOAS and a bottle of bubbly is the usual, along with a nice note from the CD.

  4. There's a reason why Elation and Paradise keep getting passed over for upgrades. Most of the other Fantasy class got the EOF back in the day. Elation and Paradise have gotten nothing. They are the newest of the Fantasy class and the only two with Azipods. The maintenance costs of these two ships may be higher than the others, and they may be under consideration to leave the fleet first.

  5. You have you facts confused Richard. HAL got the Pinnacle class in name only. The design is completely different. For you in for this design was released years before Oasis and as KYBluecruiser mentioned Joe Farcus had designed something similar in the mid 90's.

HAL got the Pinnacle class. CCL will have to come up with another name now.

    Did I stutter?

    Richard
