Hi! I'll be sailing in a Yacht Club Interior Suite in March (MSC Seashore). Will I be able to reserve a pergola?
-
Hi Donna,
I will put this on my calendar to review in March.
I know you will have a great time! : )
-
Yes, I think it would comfortable and fun. : )
-
This is the first WW cruise. It looks like it would be great to do alone as you’d get to know the same group of people at all the different WW events. I noticed that the deposit is nonrefundable…..so while I might be going solo, I can’t commit to it right now.

Thank you for the feedback.

Songbird - the Captain used the word horrible (or terrible?) when describing your weather in the video. I'm sorry you didn't have better weather! Hopefully next time.
-
It looks like the cruise will be May 6, 2017. It will be on the MSC Divina out of Miami. : )

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. As soon as I heard the Captain say he was planning to go top speed, I knew I was in trouble! I did not plan on getting off at any ports, but I do understand the Captain wanted to make sure we did have 2 ports during a 5-day cruise. The weather was too rough at Coco Cay to allow tenders.
I won’t be doing aft cabins again.
I did read that props tend to vibrate more with age. RCL Freedom is now 10 years old. In addition, the beds shook a lot more than the floor…..which leads me to believe the bed frames may not have been as sturdy as they were a number of years ago.
All in all it was a great cruise and the RCL staff was awesome. I think all crew were excited and happy as this was the final cruise after 7 years in Port Canaveral. The ship is headed to Barcelona.

Atnolan – thank you.
Merion Mom – yup! I told guest services it felt like someone had put a quarter in the slot.

Hi All,
A couple of years ago I sailed Freedom in the starboard corner aft Deck 7 and felt no vibration at all. I just got off the Freedom. I stayed in the portside corner aft Deck 7. The vibration in the bed was very, very intense!
I have a few guesses as to why the vibration was so strong, but I’m not sure. Any feedback was would be appreciated.
1. The Captain noted in a video that the stabilizers had been upgraded.
2. The seas were not super smooth.
3. We had an itinerary change and the Captain said he’d go at full speed the entire way to Grand Cayman (instead of Coco Cay). He may have been going full speed the entire trip.
I love the corner aft, but I can honestly say I don’t know if I’d book it again. It was very difficult to sleep at night with that much vibration.
Any idea as to the cause?
Thanks!

Maybe one more question please - I'm looking for quiet and a place to dip into the water.
It looks like there is a small hot tub on Deck 14. Is it possible to dip into that frequently.....or is it generally full of people?
Thank you!

Hi,
As you know, it's possible to place a lounge chair in front of the side circle on 7708 or 7408 and watch the water go by.
I guess what I'm trying to figure out is if it's possible to do that on 6410 or 6710. It looks like from the picture.....the answer may be no?
(Thank you for the pictures!)

Thank you everyone for the information, I appreciate it!

Bump - just thought I'd try again with this question.
Thank you in advance!

Hi Everyone,
Is the Sunshine Serenity area quiet? I read a review that mentioned it was above the main pool area and the noise from the main pool was relatively loud?
What have been your experiences in the Sunshine Serenity area?
Thank you in advance!
-
Thank you both for the answers. From the video it looks like the answer is.....no.
On to research Oasis humps. I think my goal is the largest side balcony I can find that's a D1.

Hi All,
On some of the corner aft balconies on the Freedom class ships you can sit and watch the side view of the ocean going by.
Are you able to do that on the balcony of cabin 9256 on the Brilliance?
Thank you in advance!
-
Great, thank you very much!

Hi All,
There are 3 ships I’m looking at for a future cruise (their port is nearby) Oasis, Rhapsody and Brilliance. Do anyone them have cabins with particularly large balconies…..where you do not have to pay more than a standard balcony rate?
Someone did mention cabin 1100 on Brilliance and I plan to look into that. I believe its a Jr. Suite, so I’ll have to get information on the difference in cost.
Thank you in advance for any information on these 3 ships.
-
Thank you. Exactly the information I needed!

Hi All,
I remember reading that in addition to the Freedom class of ships, there was another class of ships that had large balcony cabins with front and side views. Similar to cabins 7408 and 7708 on the Freedom.
Could someone please tell me what class of ship that is?
Thank you.

Yes, generally 12 people would meet at the Sunset Bar (along with the Solo Cruise Director) and then we would move to a restaurant for dinner.
-
Tura Lura –
On my recent Getaway cruise balcony cruisers were NEVER allowed in the studio lounge. We did not have access to the lounge for one hour a day. All get-togethers were at the Sunset Bar. My only issue was I could never write on the white board or read the white board.
-
Only four of the events (two dinners and two shows) were sign up in advance events. If I wanted to cancel I would just called the phone number our Solo Cruise Director gave us. It was a direct number to his ship cell phone.

Oh, that would be good news. I'm an early riser.
