  1. On Sunday (14 June) I received a full refund for the Oosterdam 3 May Alaska cruise that was canceled by HAL on 30 March.
  2. Received full refund today for 3 May Oosterdam Alaska cruise that was canceled by HAL on 30 March.
  3. Millennium and Eclipse each docked briefly on Friday, 5/22 in San Diego. Apparently to disembark crew members -- local chartered buses were then seen at San Diego airport driving directly to 3 iAero (formerly Swift Air) chartered 737-800s. The last of these departed at 11:30 pm PDT for MIA, with an eventual destination of Bridgetown, Barbados, where one has already landed and the other two are in flight, due to arrive soon, according to FlightAware. Once in Barbados, I believe the crew members will be transferred to other ships (RCI?) for voyages home.
  4. Wednesday, May 20, 2020 Given ongoing global public health circumstances, Celebrity Cruises has decided to extend the suspension of most sailings through July 31, 2020. We are working with our guests and travel partners to address this disruption to their vacations, and we are genuinely sorry for their inconvenience. We expect to return to service on August 1. Guest Letter from Celebrity Cruises Impacted Itineraries For impacted sailings, compensation of 125% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) will be processed automatically. Future Cruise Credit is good through December 31st, 2021. If you prefer to forfeit the higher value of the 125% Future Cruise Credit for all of the guests in your reservation and instead accept a 100% refund, you may submit your request here any time up until the expiration date of your FCC. If you pre-booked any shore excursions, beverage, internet, specialty dining or other onboard packages, through Celebrity Cruises, you will have the option of receiving 125% Onboard Credit (OBC) to be used on your next sailing, or you may choose a 100% refund. In order to select the 125% Onboard Credit please click here to submit your request. If we have not received your choice of compensation for these pre-booked items by April 8th, you will automatically receive a full refund to your original method of payment. Guests with independent shore excursion arrangements should contact their tour operators as soon as possible.
  5. See this link for an article in today's San Diego Union-Tribune. I didn't know there were some South American passengers still aboard Eclipse. https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/business/tourism/story/2020-04-30/cruising-has-stopped-but-ships-with-thousands-of-crew-members-still-in-san-diego-waiting-to-return-home Cruises have stopped, but ships with thousands of crew members still in San Diego waiting to return home
  6. Today I received a full refund to my X Visa card for the March 30 Coastal sailing of Eclipse, which was cancelled by Celebrity on March 13. I requested the refund on the 14th. Sadly, as I look out my window this morning I see Eclipse still here in San Diego, docked next to Disney Wonder.
  7. Westerdam docked this morning in San Diego next to Celebrity Eclipse, which has been here since the end of March. Although it's great to have a wonderful view of the harbor, it's disappointing not to be sailing on any of the ships that have been rotating through or sharing the dock space for the last month or so: Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Millennium, Disney Wonder, Westerdam, Seven Seas Splendor.
  8. Eclipse today just staying offshore of San Diego area. Millennium is again docked next to Disney Wonder this morning.
  9. Just watched the sailaway. Never did hear what happened to the South American passengers that couldn't disembark here. Perhaps they are still on board (?)
  10. Eclipse is still here (along with Disney Wonder) as of 0900 Saturday, 4-4-2020. Apparently no plan yet for the South Americans on board, and I've seen no recent updates.
  11. And there are still 100+ South American passengers stuck on Eclipse now. Haven't heard any updates on their status today. (Eclipse and Millennium are both at the pier today -- Millennium doing a planned resupply.)
  12. My view this morning: Eclipse still in port. Haven't seen any news today about what will happen with the South Americans who haven't been permitted to disembark from Eclipse. Millennium is here for previously scheduled resupply.
  13. Here is the latest local news this evening about the South American passengers: https://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/more-than-100-passengers-stuck-on-the-celebrity-eclipse/2297744/?_osource=db_npd_nbc_knsd_eml_shr
  14. Eclipse definitely still here at 1:45 PM PDT 1 April 2020
  15. Eclipse still in San Diego at 7:10 pm PDT 3/31/2020. I wonder what will happen to the South Americans who were expecting to disembark in Mexico?
