We were on an aft facing PH on 8th floor last November.  We could definitely feel the vibrations but it did not keep us awake or bother us too much.   We would do it again.

DeepFreeze:  Thank you for your review.  We were on the same cruise.  We were also on the same excursions as you in La Coruna & Oporto.  Overall I agree with everything your said (especially about the grand staircase).   I was able to use the new cruise excursion audio system, without too much trouble.  Captain and crew were all the best and did everything we asked and then more.  It was a fantastic trip with the exception of missing our connecting flight at Gatwick after our Barcelona flight was late.  This, of course was not RSSC fault and the airlines put us up at the Gatwick Hilton and paid for all of our meals.  We made it home to Florida the next day with no problem.

We were on deck 10 on the Mariner back in December and heard the pool deck chair movement above us every morning. Also, occasionally, there was water spillage from above when the decks were hosed off. Had a wonderful cruise anyway, but next time we book the Mariner, it will be on deck 9 or below.

I really enjoyed reading your review. I am about to book a cruise in August and I haven't been on the Majesty since 2005, so it was very informative. I do have a question--is there a nightly Diamond/Diamond Plus event in The Viking Crown Lounge? We were just on Enchantment last month and really enjoyed having access to the lounge and our nightly cocktails up there.

We just got off a cruise on Enchantment of the Seas last week. This was the first cruise we had taken since the inception of mandatory prepaid gratuities. We found that all the service was as good, if not better, than before. I lost one of my small diamond stud earrings in our stateroom and our room attendant actually moved furniture and found it for me. The wait staff in the dining room were all very efficient and pleasant. A couple of WOW envelopes were left in our stateroom but no one on the ship even mentioned them.
