I was able to access the spreadsheet by opening it, then downloading it as an Excel spreadsheet on my computer. What a great calculator!
Hope this helps!
Carole
This is the only real way to do it.

Has anyone who was having trouble using the spreadsheet, been able to get it to work? Like a previous poster says "I can't even enter the number of days of the trip"...if anyone has a hint on working with this spreadsheet, maybe you could pass it along to the rest of us.
You can download it to your computer, doing save as Excel. Of course you have to have Excel on your computer for it to work. Also, note that it DOES NOT lock or protect the cells when you do this.
Currently I have unlocked it on Google docs. Please try not to change cells that don't need to be changed. :)

I hoped Cruise Critic would host it but they said no. If anyone has a better way to use it online or a way to post the file I am all ears.
I am a little confused about it being locked. I will test it on another computer online.

It worked for me, Clay. You put a lot of effort into it, and I'm sure that it will help many people!
Thanks!
Oh and thanks for the effort in posting all the data! I just transferred it and did the math.

Two comments:
1. It appears that you left your own non-zero counts (beverages you plan to order) in the columns. I'd suggest that you clear them and upload your file again.
2. Before you upload your file again, though, please make sure that it is complete (incorporating the additional wines, cocktails, beers, etc., that I found and listed in posts #133, 160, and 161). I could be wrong, but it seemed that the list was not complete.
I was not able to go to your online site, because I don't have a Google account. May I suggest that you make sure that the copy there also has the "addenda" from posts 133, 160, and 161?
Thanks!
lol, those were "test" drinks to see if it was working.
The list is not complete, but I had a lot of requests so i posted what I had.
Thanks for the feedback!

Can someone test this to see if it is working properly? Try and change the cells you shouldn't as well.
The online link is now open to use from this link:

Hello, "poolboyclay."
I see that you used the data only from my "first post" in "this thread." Before you "finalize" your file, please incorporate a significant number of additional beverages that I found and listed in subsequent posts.
Clay, I just checked the list of attachment types that you are allowed to upload into CruiseCritic, and ".xls" (Excel worksheet) is not one of them. [You can use such things as .doc, .jpg, .pdf, etc..] I think that you are going to have to try to disseminate your sheet via e-mail. (See below.)
Thanks I will add the rest of the drinks asap. Where did you find the list of acceptable files? Is .zip one of them?

I made a spreadsheet in Excel that helps with the evaluation of whether a drink package is good for you.
It's based on the data in the first post of this thread. If anyone is interested and you have excel I will send it to you.
If the Moderators want to evaluate this and "Sticky" it I will send to them as well.
I MAKE NO PROMISES AS TO ACCURACY, BUT IT WORKED FOR ME!!!

Okay, after reading this whole thread I thought I had it figured out, but now I am confused.
Does either the classic alcoholic package or the premium alcoholic package include "premium" coffees? As in all the espresso based coffees, ie:Cappuccinos, Espresso Carabaico, etc.

We just got back from the Pride and stayed at the Sleep Inn before the cruise. We got a rate of $88! including breakfast, free parking and the shuttle. I had to book thru the web site stay123 dot com to get this rate, booking direct thru the hotel was more. They charge a non refundable deposit of $22 at time of reservation. Everyone in our group of 11 were very pleased with the arrangement. The hotel was fine, nothing fancy. Breakfast was sufficient. But the shuttle was extremely convenient. All 11 of us with all our luggage in one van. We had no waiting at the hotel, and had a very fast pickup after debarkation. I highly recommend.
Thanks for the quick review! Booked!
