While Vision isn't mammoth, it is still a pretty large ship! Most folks like that it's a bit more intimate that the super-duper sized ships! I think for a shorter trip, with quick access to your home, you may come to love her!

Hello forum. My wife and I saw a great deal on a 5 day cruise on the Vision of the Seas. This will be our first cruise on RCCL. I know it's not the best boat, but living in Miami makes it easy to get last minute deals and not have to worry about traveling to get to the boat. So like I said, we saw the deal and booked it.

Now this is where I need your help. Any tips? Ideas? Hints? I have sailed NCL mega ships before. Will this one be too small? We are telling ourselves to not expect anything and just enjoy the vacation. Are the shows good? I see there are only a couple of restaurants. Is Chops worth the $35 price now?

Any tips would greatly be appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Celebrating my daughter's 24th birthday on the Dawn. We are allowing ourselves one specialty restaurant to celebrate. Would you recommend Cagney's or Moderno? We are definitely meat eaters and like to try an array of different foods so we are leaning more toward Moderno but would love to hear both sides.

I seem to be hearing a lot of feedback that while the Illusionarium show is pretty good, the food they serve you for dinner spoils it.

I just read the menu and yelp reviews for his NY restaurant The Lambs Club.

 

He charges $59 for Dover Sole and $62 for Delmonico Steak. Sides are $9 extra. Starters and appetizers vary. Pretty good reviews, (3 1/2 stars out of 5), but most everyone thinks it's overpriced.

 

Does anyone know which cut of steak is used for the Delmonico? I few have mentioned filet but it is typically ribeye.

Thanks for taking the time to post your review. Do you know if the cabanas in Vibe are snatched up as quickly as the non-cabana passes? Also do you pay the $79 in addition to the $299? I will be sailing solo and the $299 is steep enough....just wondered if it might be a total of $378 instead of $299?

Hello Zoey. The cabanas go quick, as to why I got there early in hopes of getting one. The $299 is that total for 2 people ONLY if you get a cabana. If you dont get a cabana, its $79 per person to have access to Vibe.

That is Trunk Bay. I have to say I have seen alot of beaches, but Trunk Bay, Maho Bay and Cinnamon Bay in St Johns have to be some of the best beaches I have ever been to. Enjoy.

.....there was no elevator to deck 17. However, there is a wheelchair lift that goes up the stairs from deck 16 up to deck 17. I believe it is only operated by ship perannel though.

Yes, thru NCL. It was called 'St Johns Island Tour'. Just easier that way.

You will be fine on deck 11. Thanks for the cookie. No more cookies for me. I had to many ice creams on the cruise so back to dieting until the next cruise. Damn, do I was addicted to those cones of ice cream at the buffet. LOL. Take care.

My husband is in a wheelchair. Is there an elevator to the Vibe deck?

I honestly didn't notice one, but there has to be an elevator to get to deck 17.

In 11282 on the Getaway. Does anyone know what kind of view we will have from our balcony? Will lifeboats be obstructing our view downward at all? We love NCL and can hardly wait for our cruise.

Great cabana pictures! Did you have the same one the entire week? I'd love to be able to leave my stuff sitting while I wander the ship off and on during the day, and return at will.

Yep, we had cabana #4 all week. We would leave stuff in our cooler and in the other storage all week. No problems.
