  1. cruiserke;44512028']Hope I have more luck... I have redeemed for the ultimate beverage package and was planning on booking my cruise while on the Celebrity Eclipse in a few weeks time.

I was hoping that I can get the Diamond Balcony discount and the onboard booking bonus even when using the voucher for the beverage package; like you' date=' I meticulously read the conditions and no where does it mention pricing specifics or restrictions. In fact, the mail with redeeming instructions states:

    [i']Redeem Your Reward

Eligible for redemption beginning 8/25/14. Step 1: Visit www.royalcaribbean.com and shop for your cruise. Note: You cannot redeem this reward online. Step 2: Once you've selected your cruise, call 855-284-7463 and mention your myVEGAS Confirmation, full name, RCL promo code "myVEGASPREM", desired ship and sail date to the agent. Step 3: Get ready for the cruise experience of a lifetime!

    [/i]

This, to me, implies that the normal pricing applies. They literally tell you to get all cruise and pricing info on the normal RC site, and then call to book and apply the MyVegas voucher. If they don't honour the pricing found on their site, that would be a bait and switch.

Edit: I think I'll contact the Crown and Anchor people to see if they have any information.

Do you just have to book your cruise & apply the voucher within 90 days of redemption, or do you actually have to use it on a sailing that is 90 days (or less) from when you redeemed it? That makes a big difference.

  2. First time I've heard about the Aug. 25 thing. But I booked July 12th so I'm out of luck too. I've already resigned myself to the fact that I'll just have to use it on the next cruise, whenever that may be. But thanks for the new info!

  3. Last month on the Enchantment the cup was given to us at check in with the sea pass cards. They had a big stack of cups behind the counter.

Ahh, that's much more handy. I had to wait for mine in the room :-(

I really can't answer about your ship where to get the coffee, sorry.

On Freedom it was fresh juice or sorta juice, like Sunny-D. Fresh is what you get with your package.

  4.

I bought it ahead of time, so how will I go about activating it on board?

You do nothing, there will be an imprint on your card you get at check-in before you even board.

Will I have to wait for the cup to be delivered to my state room? Yes for the freestyle machine, but you can still get drinks anywhere served in a regular glass

Do I have to bring a print out to a certain place to get the sticker? If you bought ahead it will be printed on your cruise docs. Again, they should know you have it purchased on it will be printed on your card.

This will be my first time on RCI, I'm so excited! We are going to CoCo Key. Can I use the package there or is it like carnival and it's only valid for the ship, not their private island?

It will be valid on CoCo Cay (and Labadee for Western)

    See answers above...

  5. I bet you will love sitting on the ship in your home port for 21 days

If that was the case, instead of them offering a full refund, I'll just take it as credit towards the Ultimate drink package. That will help the 21 days go by. Still better than being at work. :-)

  6. I completely agree. On our first cruise in 2007 it was downright chilly onboard with the A/C and I loved it. Now it's devolved to where you can barely tell when you've entered the ship from a Caribbean port.

I'd pay an upcharge for that A/C all day, everyday.

So this is an example of "you can't please all the people all the time"

My first cruise was last year, and I was unhappily surprised at how chilly it was on the ship. I hate being cold! I had to purchase warmer clothes from their shops just so I wouldn't freeze. I brought clothes for the Caribbean, not Alaska. At least for my upcoming trip I know better now to pack for a cold indoor climate, but I'd prefer if it was warmer.

  7. Perhaps we're talking about 2 different products. My Nestle' Coffee Mate Peppermint Mocha says right on the bottle "Keep Refrigerated" and in bold type it says "Contains milk derivative." Not milk, indeed, but milk derivative and the "Keep Refrigerated" rather than "keep cool" is enough for me. Probably 90% of the time keeping it in the cabin "cooler" is absolutely fine. I don't want to be in that 10%.

I'm a former health care worker (RN) and I tend to err on the side of caution.

The big bottles you get from the dairy case have to be refrigerated. The little single-serve cups you get from the shelves where coffee is sold don't have to be. That's why they are sold where the also need to be stored. The little squeeze bottle of concentrate I've been mentioning is sold on the shelf, so it can be put in your purse and carried around without worrying about keeping it cold.

  8. Well, there ARE active cases in the US...

I don't think taking someone's temperature is going to do much....just because you show no symptoms NOW, doesn't mean you won't show symptoms tomorrow or the next day, if you've been exposed. And that's the problem, you'd have no way of knowing IF you've been exposed. This is a bad thing! The recently diagnosed case WAS a healthcare worker, wearing full protective garb....

And to finish your sentence.... who they believe broke from protocol when taking the protective gear off. It needs to be taken off and handled very carefully too, so they think that's where something went wrong.

  9. Saw a new product in the grocery store today. It was Coffee Mate 2 Go, a few flavors like Hazelnut, in a smallish squeeze bottle. It was a 3x concentrate 3 oz size to make it easy to take traveling. Think of those water flavor enhancers like Mio - about that size. Pretty cool, think I'll pick up one to try.

Oh, and it was on the regular shelf along with the other non-refrigerated creamers.

  10. Generally speaking there is no daily limit. But if you have clearly had enough for now, the server could cut you off.

You can't get two at once because you'd likely be turning one over to your friend, and that's not allowed.

I would imagine that if you ordered a shot of something while sitting at the bar, downed it, then asked for another, the bartender would know it was for you and not someone else and let you have another right away. But if you ordered a Pina Colada and 1 minute later return for a 2nd, they'd probably know you got one of them for someone else.

The freestyle coke machines have a timer on them, but I don't know if ringing up a drink at the bar also has a timer, but probably not?
