Are the menus different for each ship. Some have a 16oz bone in ribeye, and some don’t. Does anyone have a menu from Liberty? The RC blog didn’t have one, thanks.

Thank you Curtis!! I hope it helps...I do LOVE your idea of sharing a good review for your cruise on the RC. One of the downsides to RC boards on Cruise Critic, is it is so HUGE that stuff just disappears in an hour! I have a review on Paul Gauguin that still gets newbies reading it because the board moves more slowly, and it's usually on the first page or two even after 5 years! Some of the most entertaining reviews I've ever read by some of my favorite reviewers are buried forever in cruise critic:( If CC hired me as a consultant...I'd suggest breaking out the BIG boards (Royal, Celebrity, Carnival etc) into parts, general questions, reviews (even by ship or class of ship could work) I know they have the review section... but no pictures there, and that's no fun! Anyway, no one is paying me for my opinion here, so....
Also, thanks for appreciating my humor, I find myself hysterical, I am one of those nuts who laughs at my own jokes! But who knows what other people think:') (see?!) It seemed a fitting metaphor because I am going on that Zumba cruise with a bunch of ladies and we were on a conference call all discussing the various dolphin encounter options, and that's what it sounded like. How much consent do you want to give? Kiss and pat the dolphin on a platform, or get in the water to be pushed pulled and humped? :') (again...laughing at my own joke, really?!) In any case, I'm not that kinda girl, so I signed up for a chaste kiss and a little petting, but some of the gals are getting right in there.
The MDR is using the new menus. They are simplified, no confusing explanations of the spices on them (mojo, saffron etc) But the actual items on them aren't all that different. We only ate in the MDR on the 6th night, and it was good, but for us, not worth the 90 minutes it takes to dine there and the limited options for me, a pescatarian.
Thanks for the info on MDR menus, for what it’s worth, I think your hilarious.:p

Thanks so much for a great review. I posted a link to it on my roll call for our upcoming April cruise. We are doing the other ports, but your info on the ship is great. I know you ate in the windjammer (foodjammer) most of the time, but did you notice if they are using the new menus in the MDR? Also, I laughed so hard about you dolphin encounter comment in GC, “ I need a cigarette “ LOL, so funny.:')

So why do you have to book three people in that room? Is there a Pullman or something, because I am not sleeping on that couch, LOL . :D Also thank you for this awesome review, it is very timely as we leave on LOS in 37 days, Yahoo!!

I'd prefer to stay home than drive across the country just for a vacation. That seems crazy to me! Who would think such a thing is fun?!
I generally avoid going to Europe to see family because of the 8 - 10 hour flight. I couldn't even imagine 20 hours in a car. Actually, I can, I made the drive to NYC from FLL once, NEVER again! Planes were invented long ago.
Thanks for your input, but can you quit calling people crazy and making fun of them for wanting to save some money. Some of us have to travel on a budget and need to save where ever we can. We drove from Indiana to Galveston this pass fall and loved it. My DW and I had great talks and our two year old loved watching movies and looking out the window. In fact, we like it so much, we are doing it again the end of April. Some of us just love seeing the country from the road, so if you have extra time and like to drive, I say go for it and poo-poo on what others think.

This is going to be FUN! Can’t wait is see all your chubbies, oh and all your colorful shorts as well!;p

It's important to note that as a ship fills, there is a specific number of spaces in the lifeboat/muster station. In each station, they are made up of both double, triple and quad occupancy cabins. If a specific station gets to a certain point, the cruiseline can limit the number of additional passengers booking into that area, which means that even if you have a quad occupancy cabin with 2 individuals booked, and your cabin can hold 2 more, you wouldn't be able to book them, since the line was limiting all new bookings to only double occupancy.
So, usually if you think you're going to book your kids (or 2 others in a quad cabin), it's been best to book them in, and then cancel them later, since there has not been any penalty to cancel third/fourth individuals off a booking up until 2 weeks before sailing.
Many have booked larger than double cabins, and then when they went to add the third or fourth person, found that the muster station was at maximum and no additional passengers could be booked into their cabin.
I hope that this makes sense.
ETA: Of course Bob got there first!!!
Thanks so much for your response, I learned something new today, that's why I love this site so much. :D

A muster station can only hold so many people. It typically can hold the first two guests in every stateroom in that section, and some of the 3/4 guests. So it's possible a muster station can reach it's limit of 3/4 guests.
Thanks so much for your response. ;)

Thank you!
For the 360 photos I am using the Samsung Gear 360 (1st Generation). It also does great videos. I took a few of those as well, and will try to post some here.
For all the other pictures... don't laugh... my cell phone camera! :) A Samsung Galaxy S8+.
I'm not laughing, those really are great pictures, thanks for the quick response. :D

I would add the 4th child now to be sure to get the KSF price and reserve space in the muster station.
What do you mean "reserve space in the muster station"? Is it a joke I am just not getting, or is it something new I could learn? Thanks!:o

Great review and pictures. What camera are you using for the 360 photos and do you have to pay for the hosting site to post those. What camera are you using for your stand alone photo, they are so crystal clear. Also just wanted to let you know all the 360 photos are showing up fine on my IPAD, thanks again.

Thanks so much for the review, we have a bit of a wait, we don't sail until 10/7/2018. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind. 1)Did you book early and if you did when did they open the reservations for the shows? 2) Did you book the aqua show on the first night and when they cancelled the show did you automatically get rebooked for a later show? 3) How did they fix the bed to make it more comfortable? 4) Where did you eat when you got on the ship and was it busy? Sorry I am asking so many questions, my family is going on the cruise and there is 35 of us. They are looking to me for answers because I have cruised before. Thanks for your time in responding.

Booked Celebrity Solstice for Alaska Cruise but have a hold on Jewel of the Seas (RCCL). If you have been on these ships, what is your preference, and why? The Solstice is Aqua Class (would love opinions of this as well) and RCCL is balcony.
We where on the Solstice this summer and love it. We did aqua class and the heated tile lounges where awesome when we had a cool rainy day in a port. I know people say pick an Alaskan cruise based on the ports but remember you do spend more then half your cruise on the ship, so you do want a good ship. Between the two I would choose the Solstice, and go aqua class its worth it. Happy sailing I wish I was going back this year.
