  1. I got one yesterday that is similar to Bob's. [a chance to enter a raffle]

Of course, it was addressed to DH. :(

Everything that is done for Royal Caribbean is done by me. I complete the cruise documents and add DH to my account. In fact, the email address attached to the account is MY NAME. Yet, all correspondence is addressed to DH.

It is a little thing. . .but, shows how behind the times RCL is. Sorry, had to get that rant out. Now I am fine. :o

I have the same problem. We don't even have the same last name and my email address has MY last name in it!

I also got the spa email despite no cruises currently booked. Just have a NCC and some credit we haven't used yet.

  2. They will offer various species throughout the cruise, usually better on port days. Each day will be different specials.

THIS. Port day specials are decently priced. I went during the Nassau stop and got a full body massage, facial and scalp treatment for $100 or so. Yes there was a hard sell but the massage was decent and the facial was great.

Also, take the spa tour after you get on the ship to enter the raffle for a chance to win free treatments.

  3. You have all been tremendously helpful. I have found a biodegradable container online that is much smaller and lighter, which says that it comes with TSA packaging. It's also helpful to know that we have the Post Office option too, although my preference is going to be to keep him with us on our flight(s).

I really appreciate your help to solve my problem. Thank you so much!

If you take his ashes with you, be sure to bring a copy of the death certificate and the certification from the crematorium if you have it. You probably won't get questioned but I had them with me just in case since the remains will have to be x-rayed.

  4. I'm so sorry for your loss. Would it be possible to have your DH's ashes put in a smaller container to carry on the plane with you and then transferred into the urn required by the cruise ship?

That's what I did with my mom. I had her ashes split up into a few small bags to go different places and took the bag with me on the flight.

  5. Ship - Oasis of the Seas

    Deck - Ten

Stateroom - #10102 (forward oceanview cabin overlooking the bow/helipad)

    Stateroom Category – F

Starboard or Port Side - Slightly Port (just left of dead center)

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Quiet except for the doors. The neighbors were slamming their front door constantly. And yes, you do hear the thrusters when docking in the morning but it only lasts a few minutes usually and you can go back to sleep.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Not a balcony but view is of the bow/helipad. Great to see nothing in front of you!

    BKK1TcZCIAIXzMQ.jpg

    Balcony Size? N/A

    Was wind a problem? - N/A

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Other than the doors' susceptibility to slamming shut, nope.

Any other comments? - There's a lot of extra space between the bed and very large window (bed is "next" to the window for those wondering). It slants sharply at the very front but is more than ample to store suitcases, clothes or whatever doesn't fit in regular storage. I don't have pictures of the cabin itself uploaded but this gives you an idea: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1147485

  6. Got a stock response from Customer Service:
