This guys is still out here telling the same story about him and his dad getting mugged in OSJ. Unfortunately, I didn’t see this story until we got back to the hotel. Now short $13 and laughing at stories we are reading about the same guy running this scam. I’m sharing a picture someone posted on here from last year. It’s the same guy but now he’s wearing a mask. Pay attention to the preamble of “hey do you speak English?”and the big ears. You can’t miss it. Good luck folks and don’t get scammed like us.
Yup, that's him. Looks like he ditched the nose bandage.

In the sailing protocal sheet sent to us for our upcoming Ovation Alaska sailing it specifically states no unvaccinated in Solarium pools, bar, Bistro, and Solarium pool party. Several more venue exclusions also.
This is interesting in that it's so specific. Has anyone received something like this for a different ship?

I live in Florida. We have not been locked down. We are an open state. All tourist areas are now mask free zones. You have choices. Anyone stepping foot in Florida will be around unvaccinated people. And anyone that lives here, have been openly living without masks, or required vaccines. If you are afraid to cruise than please don't cruise, and don't discuss it.
Straw man fallacy.

So, all you "have to get a vax to sail" people, have you been reading and listening to reports of heart conditions appearing in teens who have gotten the vax. Would you want to take a chance with your teen's health which is about the same as you taking a chance by not getting poked. Boardshorts said you were selfish if you did not get vaccinated but maybe some people are just tired of being told what to do by the one's who want to dictate what people should do. We have a cruise in November and if it requires being vaccinated we will take the plunge, and pray it will not affect my granddaughter's heart. Of course, since there have not been any real trial tests on the vaccines, who knows what other side effects might pop up. Guess I can hope one would be giving everyone common sense, which does not seem to common.
Just to be clear: you fear the potential issue with heart problems in younger people yet if it were required to cruise you'd have your granddaughter vaccinated. Interesting.

Yep, some don't get it and some don't want to get it. It has nothing to do with fear.

Holding steady on all shares. Agree that the likely be another buying opportunity but I'm not sure if we'll be seeing low 80s again. Took a bit of heat in another thread for adding to my position a few months ago, supposedly I was going to get cleaned out. That didn't happen. 🙂

Probably the same as we always do, Pool Bar for frozen drinks then the Schooner Bar for sail away martinis. I can't wait.
-
Not thrilled about this simply because it increases the chances of a cruise being disrupted by an outbreak.

Other than stirring the pot I see absolutely no point to this thread.

Maybe RCL needs to add another ship for the anti-vax crowd, they can call it Conspiri Of The Seas.

My enthusiasm is the highest it's been in quite a while now that the vaccines are being distributed, will definitely be making up for lost time once this mess passes.🙂

The only thing that will get me back onboard is a vaccine with proven safety and efficacy. I'd rather not have to spend my vacation in a mask.

Does this also refer to things like Vaping?
You'll never know for sure if someone has vaped in your stateroom.

Very much psyched about this! I've done small ships to Bermuda before (Sea Venture was small but groovy) and yes, they have a "smarter" roll than the large ships but it isn't all that bad.

There seems to be a pattern with the casino bar on Adventure in terms of keeping things stocked. On my last cruise they ran out of Kalua one evening at around 10pm. I was in and out of the casino bar until fairly late that evening and it was never replaced, nor had it been replaced by the beginning of the blackjack tournament the following afternoon. I'm not pointing a finger at any individuals but that does seem like an inordinate amount of time to re-stock.

Thank you for this thread, I was in a foul mood and it just made my day.🤣🤣🤣🤣

While sitting under the detector and blowing clouds will probably set the alarms off, a little stealth vaping away from the detector won't.

Honestly they probably have to package it that way in accordance to new health and safety standards. I really don't see the issue here.
Seriously not trying to be a smartass but... All RCCL are Bahamas registered, correct?
I doubt the Bahamas instituted a health and safety standard that would require them to import more plastic.

Imo (and I'm marginalizing myself in the process) it makes complete sense to cater try your best to cater to the 30-50 age group, that's where the money is. Younger and they don't have the $$, older and you're catering to a dwindling demographic. Harsh but true. So.. catering to millennials makes good business sense as they're your potential long term customers.

Every time this subject comes up I flash to a Little Rascals episode where Spanky is tasked with dressing a very young Wheezer who is laying on his back and thrashing his legs because he does want to put his big boy pants on. "Stop it... Put these pants on.... Stop it."
Too cold to do Cape Liberty, NJ cruise in Dec?

Another local here. Although we haven't done it yet (haven't had the opportunity) we'd sell out of Bayonne in the middle of winter without hesitation, especially on Anthem since it looks like there would be plenty to do on the first and last couple of days.
