  1. We have done both. We enjoyed the Lamanai ruins the best. We booked through Island Marketing Ltd and had a wonderful time. You ride a high speed boat up the river to the ruins. We were able to climb to top of one of the Pyramids which was a great experience. There is a troop of Howler monkeys which were fun to listen to. They fed you a Belize lunch afterwards. Its an all day trip but we got back in plenty of time. This is one of the best excursions we have taken out of 11 cruises.

We did the Lamanai excursion too and the whole family agreed this is the best excursion we've ever done.

  2. My family did this tour and really enjoyed the zip line! We also did the beach stop and although it was fairly enjoyable swimming, no chairs were included. But it was a pretty beach, it crowded and there were some shops there too.

  3. I don't know about price, but I'd prefer the security of an AI versus on-your-own in Negril. Maybe keep shopping for other AI to compare?

  4. There will be many experienced CC folks to advise you. But my first thought is, Wow! It will be sooooooo hot in July in the Caribbean. And of course, schools out so that increases the number of kids on board. Which if you have kids, it's great! The more the merrier and more fun in the kids clubs. Also need to be okay with cruising during hurricane season.

But hey, I get it! Some of us have to travel whenever we can. But if I could choose when to go to the Caribbean, I would be less likely to choose July.

  5. We did climb the pyramid and it was worth it. Great view and it was up there when we started hearing the howler monkeys! Very cool. We joked at first that they were piping in sound effects, it was so dramatic of a sound! Our tour guide encouraged us to take turns swinging on some grapevines. This was several years ago, so may not be there now. We also had lunch served to us at the boat dock. Sounds like they take you somewhere for lunch now.

  6. Stretching really helps. Doesn't seem that something you can do at home would be effective, but it actually is. I wear orthoheel and Merrell sandals. Actually, Merrell has some really cute wedge sandals that I got this year and plan to wear with my sundresses on our upcoming cruise. Ugg makes some cute sandals too that have arch support. I no longer go barefoot in the house, always wear Crocs for my slippers. Keep trying, you'll find something that works!

  7. Do they have a trip to the Lamanai Maya ruins? It's by bus, then a river boat to the ruins in the jungle, lots of shade, howler monkeys, no snakes. We saw birds from the boat, no manatees and no crocodiles although the river is said to have them. The monkeys were in the trees around the ruins. I loved that trip. It included a simple but tasty buffet lunch in a riverside restaurant.

We did this tour and loved it. Our only warning is that it was the one time a tour almost made us late back to the port. We really cut it close! Just make sure you have plenty of time. The ruins were really neat and we loved that it wasn't crowded at all. Hearing the howler monkeys was just incredible.

  10. What about the snack on the Rooftop Terrace and the food served during the Taste of Film? Are those all included or is there a charge? And what is Indulgence?

Wondering this same thing! Very excited about the Rooftop Terrace, but unclear on if the food is included.

  11. My all time favorite excursion we've ever done was in Cozumel. We went on the Tucan sailing adventure with Cozumel Sailing. Best day ever. Nice catamaran, small group - maybe 15 on board, lunch cooked and served on board, snorkeling, private beach, and spinnaker rides off the back of the boat. Really a great day!
