Yes! He is. I got to talk to him, and he is just as sweet as he is talented.
Hearing this stuff NEVER gets old. Glad everyone enjoys our son, Jordan. His CD will be out VERY soon around July 10th. Can't wait.

Check out Jordan Peterson's music at http://www.jordanpetersonmusic.com. He writes his own music, and has his first CD coming out within weeks. I was on his ship 2 weeks ago, and am now a huge fan!!!
Thanks for being our son's fan!! He loves his job! His CD should be out around July 9th. Here is one of his original songs from the CD:

jWe just got off the Summit and your son was outstanding! He is extremely talented! One day I walked into the coffee area to get a coffee and it was so crowded with people standing everywhere it shocked me. Then I realized your son was performing at the piano and I thought "ahhh --- that explains the crowd". I also spoke with him briefly and he seemed like a great kid -- you did good, :-)THANKS! We think he is a pretty great kid also! Thanks for your kind words about Jordan, makes us miss him even more! Now, to find a way to get back on the Summit this summer to Bermuda!

Your son is an amazing performer! We went to several of his shows and he really added to our enjoyment of the cruise. Most of his shows were standing-room only! His Billy Joel hour was amazing, and they even had him perform Scenes from an Italian Restaurant at the Welcome Aboard show the first night.
He was much better than the Celebrity Singers. I have to be honest and say that he was the second best singer on-board, since Liz Callaway was the 54 Below performer we're long-time fans of hers. But she doesn't do Billy Joel, so maybe they tied :).
WOW! Thanks so much! We really enjoy the comments we see on CC. We wish we could go to see him again this summer in Bermuda!!
-
Enjoying your review! We sailed last year at this time. Our son, Jordan Peterson, is the piano entertainer, so if you see him, say HI from his Mom and Dad! Enjoy Bermuda...it is AMAZING!!

I've lost count over how many threads I've read the past few days about how bad Celebrity is now. Poor food quality, buffet is terrible, specialty restaurants are not so special, rusty ships, bad customer service, etc., etc., etc. I'm expecting to see comments from people complaining that they got 1 ounce less champagne in their glass when they boarded....
Can anyone seriously point out something, anything, positive about Celebrity? The two cruises I've taken I definitely enjoyed them quite a bit and I look forward to the next one. Whatever problems/complaints I did have certainly won't stop me from sailing on Celebrity again. Overall, I love the experience Celebrity gives you.
Someone else must have a positive experience they can mention, right??
My son, Jordan Peterson, is the solo pianist/entertainer on the Summit....I think he is pretty awesome :)

If you happen to see/hear my son, Jordan Peterson, performing at the Cova Cafe, tell him "HI" from his parents! Can't wait for him to be home again in March! Have a great time on the Century. I assume you are doing the Panama Canal also? This is Jordan's last cruise on the Century!
-
How long will Jordan be on the Summit? We are on Sept 7 to Quebec City and would love to hear him.
He is on the Summit until Sept. 21.

Can anyone that sailed the Summit recently inform us of who the entertainers are on the ship currently? Perhaps a copies of the dailys? Thanks in advance.
My son, Jordan Peterson, will be sailing the Summit again from 5/11/14 - 9/21/14. He is a piano entertainer/singer and is currently on the Century.
-
We sailed with Jordan on his first contract on Summit, please tell me he will be back on Summit for the April 26th repositioning cruise......
Sorry, he is not back on the Summit until May 14th, I believe.

We had a poolside sailaway party this afternoon, featuring Jordan Peterson's tribute to Billy Joel & Elton John. All I can say is... WOW. Jordan had the pool deck rocking ! What a fantastic performance. If you have an opportunity to catch Jordan perform on a future Celebrity sailing, he's not to be missed.
Thanks for the review! We talked to Jordan yesterday and he was REALLY nervous about performing by the poolside. Glad to hear it was a hit!
-
I am hearing such great things about him! I do hope he will still be onboard when we try Celebrity for the first time March 3!
Yes he will! He is on the Century until March 21st. Have a great time on your cruise!

So will Jordan be on board Century for the Alaska season, too? :)Sorry, his time on the Century is over on March 21st....then back on the Summit from May-September....then on the Millenium in 2015!

Thanks! We kind of like him too! Can't wait to see him again in about a month!

I loved the Century also. If you happen to walk by the Cova and see our son, Jordan Peterson performing, tell him "HI" from his parents!! Have a great time on this awesome old ship.
-
Thanks for posting the dailies! Nice to see our son, Jordan Peterson's schedule now they have made Michael's Club "elite." Tell him HI from us if you see him!! Wish we were still on the Century!!
-
Hi Trabeler,
I have not visited the Crystal room yet, but will try to check for you. Regarding Michael's Club. I'm certain it's a Zenith Lounge for the morning and afternoon hours. As for the evening ? I'm not entirely certain if it's a Zenith lounge or not, but will look into this tomorrow. I passed by Michael's tonight, and it was nearly empty. According to the Celebrity Daily - Jordan Peterson is performing at the Cova Cafe.
Hope this is helpful.
Thanks for the updates on our son, Jordan Peterson. Sad about Michael's Club...it was a rockin' place on our Holiday Panama Canal Cruise. Tell Florin, the bartender at Michael's Club "hello" from Jordan's parents! He was the best. He and Jordan had a great time together in Michael's.
-
Too bad they are making it an "Elite" club. I have a lot of great memories of that place.

I'll be on the 15th. If you can (before then) answer some casino questions.
~ Do I need to brush up on my blackjack. I usually only play if I see a $5 table. Are there any?
~ Are the slot machines still coin? What denominations are there? Pennies/quarters?
Thanks so much.:)
The blackjack tables are $6.00 minimum, I believe. As far as slots, do not know, did not play! Have fun on the Century!

Hi Everyone,
I'm sailing back to back, on Celebrity Century for 11 days, starting this Wednesday. If you have Century questions, please post them on this thread. As always, I will try my very best to obtain answers.
BTW, I only request 1 question *not* be asked <smile> - Please don't ask me to find out if Century is leaving Celebrity's fleet. While I do not have a warm and fuzzy feeling about her future with Celebrity, I have nothing further to confirm, and I highly doubt that anyone onboard knows the answer... or if they do, they aren't about to share it with me :) . FWIW, I suspect our answer might be known either this week, or probably next week, as the 2015 Alaska schedule is scheduled to be announced the week of February 17th. If she's not on the Alaska deployment schedule, then we probably have our answer.
As long as the internet cooperates, I also plan to offer a "Live From Century" thread, beginning this Wednesday. I will have addtional internet minutes, thanks to the new Captains Club benefit of 200 minutes for Elite Plus members... sooooo a big "Thank You" to Celebrity !
I'm not planning on posting every day, as I'm totally exhausted and hope to get some rest... but I will post when there's good information to share with our fantastic community. We have a huge roster of Cruise Critic friends on this sailing, so I'm sure they will lend a hand, when I'm sleeping on a lovely lounger by the pool - which, I hope will be frequently :)
I look forward to your questions !
Tell my son, Jordan Peterson, the piano player in Michael's Club, "Hello" from Mom and Dad!! Have a great time on the Century. We loved it.

Is there anyone recently off the Century that can give a report. What was the entertainment and will they stay on after the dry dock? How about the food & Captain 's Club events. Thanks for any recent information.
My son, Jordan Peterson, is the piano player/singer in Michael's Club and he will be on the Century until March 21st.

Does anyone know if the Summit plans to have performers from Broadway on board again for their Bermuda runs?
I have heard from a very reliable source that, YES, they will be.
-
Does anyone at Cruise Critic proofread these reviews for veracity before publishing them?
This is another quote from that review
"When we brought this to Guest Services with proof the lady printed it out, made notes and we never got credits, after that complaint we did not get the today, and never got the time for the final breakfast."
He is saying that they stopped delivering the Celebrity Today after he made a complaint. That isn't possible!
Cruise Critic DOES read them apparently. When my review was published (http://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=248662) I had to submit it and then they said they would review it for publication.
I was on the same cruise as this person and I am not sure what they are talking about. I can speak from experience...the drinks are still UNLIMITED, I can definitely attest to that!! The buffets were never "closed" as far as I know. We ate there many times at night. Hard to believe people will spend that much money and complain about every little thing. These people are the kind of people that like to give my son "suggestions" when he is performing at Michael's Club. I am not sure they would not walk into the Celebrity Theater and say, "You are singing too close to your mic" which actually happened to my son.
These are the same kind of people that would cut in front of everybody at the burger station by the pool and ask for ONE french fry. Yes, this actually happened too. Coincidently, this was the same person who had so much advice for Jordan at Michaels.
It takes all kinds.
Just back from 6/22 Summit to Bermuda

He will be selling his CD's on the ship, he just has to get them approved by the Celebrity corporate office in Miami, so hopefully that will be a quick process! I am sure he will be able to sing his own music, especially if somebody requests it!!! Glad you enjoy Jordan, we sure do. Wish we were cruising again to Bermuda this summer!!
