Were went to Chochoban last year and really enjoyed it. We used Native Tours I believe.

Cruising on the Joy in a couple of weeks and NCL was willing to upgrade us for $50 to a mini- suite from our balcony but when the tips for the "free" perks were added it would have been more than I paid for one fare.

My DH has worked for SWA since 91. I'm glad they treated you right and that your mom is doing well. Thank heaven literally for prayers and angels here on earth.

Had a great time at Jungle top zipline. We walked to it from the ship.

the thing is that the cruise contract mandates delivering you to the disembarkation port, no matter what. So, when Jade broke down in PR, Norwegian flew us back to Miami. Oh, and 100% compensation and future credit.
Sort of same with airlines - if something happens and they take you to a different airport, they usually bus or fly you to your original destination. But usually no compensation at all.
IMHO.
If it's a weather problem they usually try to get you out ASAP. No compensation for weather delays/changes.

We are ok with Jamies and Chops. But Wonderland doesn't change so it is a one and done. Also Marie does't care for Izumi So I guess we could do Jamies twice and chops once. Or just spend more times in MDR and save the money for the casino.
Anyone know what MDR is like on Ovation? We spent 17 days on board last year but never made it to MDR. Same as all the other ships I suppose.
What nights were formal nights?
-
We did a float plane in Ketchikan and it was quite a bit cheaper than the ships price.
-
Ovation to Alaska. Thanks

On an 11 night which nights are typically formal?

Once you get your wrist band you should be able to stay as long as you want. The water park doesn't even open until 10am.

We did the walking tour last year. We enjoyed it but we are easy to please. It rained on us off and on but it was warm so not a problem. It was our 4th time there so we wanted something low key.
-
It is a great space. Peaceful and quiet.

"Refundable on board credit" Can you go to GS on board and get cash? I know this seems like a silly question but there has been so much miscommunication I didn't know if it was really true.

I found I gained more weight with late seating. What did you you enjoy? Will you cruise again.?

SWA will resume operations Saturday afternoon according to their internal website. Hopefully all airport and airline employees will be able to get to work so that they can get paid and have a small sense of normalcy.
-
They must be mind readers, because Hobby's web site and Twitter feed, as well as Southwest's web site both say that Hobby is closed until further notice, and a post to the official web site indicates that there is still significant flooding and road closures around HOU..
SWA's employee website is stating operations will resume @HOU on 9/2, Saturday so keep checking.

You have to understand that Houston was not expecting all the rain until later when they said the worst scenario would be if the hurricane stalled over in the area and it happened. 2.3 million people didn't evacuate either. Are you goin to blame RCI for that as well? They take info from harbor masters, information from airports and when it was apparent that they would be closed and no buses were available, they made contingency plans. You must be mad that you aren't on the next cruise, grow up.
They obviously didn't talk to the airlines because SWA cancelled flights 2 days ago and SWA did not bring their planes in HOU. That was 24 hours ago.

Corporate will always tell the captain what to do...airplane or ship...
Not true with airlines. Captain and FO are in charge of who does and doesn't fly and they have final say for their aircraft.
-
Captain announced 3 medical emergencies and we are now waiting for the coast guard to pick them up. Still 8 miles out from Galveston port. Then on to Miami. Hopefully they let us debark at Miami as I have no interest in going back to Galveston to try to fly out. Prayers for the Texas people ❤️[/quote
Wow, you have been on lots of cruises. We will be tied in October. Are they comping you anything? Wifi to make travel changes? Have they run out of ddp?

We loved Allure and thought Mama Mia was outstanding. If you are diamond level the lounge has a great view.
-
We had 9319 in May and loved the cabin. Views of the ocean, zip line, Aqua Theater and the Boardwalk are great.
-
We were in 9319 in May and LOVED it. We could the screen for movies, the Aqua Theater shows and had a beautiful view of the ocean. I think you will love it too.

This says 17 and under can get into the comedy shows as long as they are with a parent/guardian. I'm interested to know though, if they are 18+ for language or if they have suggestive themes that are just flat out inappropriate for kids? Mine are teens, but I can't decide if I should risk it and allow them to go. Maybe someone who has seen the comedy shows can comment?

It is for both. Language and mature themes. We are 60 but it was too explicit for us mature audience.

There's only one soft ice cream dispenser on the ship. It's in the Wipeout Cafe. It wasn't working correctly or perhaps it was overused and didn't have time to freeze properly because the ice cream was soupy.
They are 4 machines on the pool deck on either side of the stage.
