But also with the early saver if there is a price drop you call or fill out the online form and get the difference in onboard credit. We wound up with an OBC on the Breeze last year of nearly $500.

Ok, so we had to book an OS because my Mom who has Alzheimer's needs a tub.
I know that this is off topic, but I understand what you're going through. I looked after my grandmother's brother, her sister, and her until their deaths. It is difficult and trying at times, but so worth it.

We've never had that problem. We don't do the MDR anymore so we usually go during the dinner settings and most nights it's just us in the whirlpool...sometimes one or maybe two other couples, but that's it.
-
We didn't have any issues with kids on serenity, but we did in the aft pool on Liberty. This man came with his small child and said you guys don't mind him coming in the hot tub. My husband and another gentleman objected to this small child in the adults only whirlpool and the gentleman became very disgruntled, but a Carnival employee came over and told the gentleman that the pool and whirlpool were adults only and his son would have to leave. He called my husband some names and made a vague threat, but he did leave peacefully afterwards.

Do they sell the different flavors of the Mikes hard lemonade on board? If so do anyone know how much they are?
Thanks!
Personally I've never seen it, but that doesn't mean it's not available especially on ships I haven't been on.

Hi everyone! I can't wait to get going!! It's our first cruise!
I believe we reach the Port of Miami at 8AM, but I'm not sure what time is good for our flight home after that. Do we actually get off the ship at 8AM? How do they work it?
There is a flight at 10:30AM out of Miami Airport. Is that cutting it too close? Thanks!! Heidi
It's all in what you feel comfortable doing. We are flying 10:40 a.m. out of Miami. We've done that same flight the last couple of years without issue, but there are no guarantees.

I have friends going on the Conquest in a couple of weeks and they want to know if you can buy liquor once you get on board the ship. They don't want to pre-order it, but would like to have a bottle for their room.
Can you do this and if so, what brands do they have and how much is it.
I think they drink Jim Beam.
Thank you!!!
I can't speak to the Conquest specifically, but we had no problem ordering through room service on the Breeze or Liberty.

Can't speak for the Conquest, but on the Breeze last year out of POM we were onboard by 11:30 a.m. This year will be our first time on the Conquest.

LOL That's us too. A few blocks off the square there is a place you can eat in one of the locals backyard. She cooks the food in her kitchen and serves it to you. We also have a local Italian restaurant we love in Cozumel.
Just curious as to where the Italian restaurant is...we're headed out that way soon :)

I'd pre-order from Bon Voyage if I were you.
On the Liberty, I told my wife we could wait until we boarded and order from room service. When I called room service, they told us bottle service was not available through room service. She has not happy.
I don't know if they simply don't do this on ALL ships, or if supply was limited on this cruise and they simply suspended bottle sales, but it's not guaranteed you will be able to get what you want unless you order ahead of time.
Sailed the Liberty last spring and had no issues. Maybe it was a new or uninformed employee. We had that said on a different ship spoke to guest services, and they called room service, and we had our bottle with glasses in less than ten minutes.

I am not aware of anything you can order for your cabin while on the ship, except that is if you purchase bottles of liquor from the shop on the ship, they will hold it until the last night, and then it is delivered to your room. If you order from BV prior to your cruise, the bottle is there waiting for you in your cabin the first day.
You can order a bottle of alcohol through room service $75 - 80 plus tip.

Is anyone else having issues with the Carnival website this morning. I cannot access my current booking, even after entering the required information all over again!!!
I had a problem earlier this week, but when I logged completely out and then went back it was fine. I think it might have been a cookie thing.

My favs are Denver Duck and Barn Storm. I also like Texas T.

No. However, you could take a cruise with Bare Necessities Cruises. They specialize in clothing optional cruises.
Never heard of them...Where are they based out of?

We are Canadians going on an Alaska cruise departing out of Vancouver. While we have access to USD, the smallest denomination is probably $20. Can we change those into singles on the ship for tipping?
We also have a large collection of Loonies and Twonies (CDN dollar and two dollar coins) but I suspect those wouldn't be as appreciated as much.
No our loonies and toonies are not appreciated anywhere outside our home country. I actually collected a good few at some beaches I visited. Guess they just threw them away. With that said, as other posters have said you can get smaller bills at the casino or purser's office, but I have never had trouble getting small bills at my bank before I leave. I bank with Scotiabank don't know if other banks are different.

Don't bring long-sleeved shirts. I made this mistake today, and now realize that nearly half my luggage is filled with stuff I probably won't wear. If you haven't traveled this far South before, it can be easy to assume that it'll be like a Canadian summer -- some warm days, some days a little cool where you'll want a thin long-sleeved shirt or a jacket if the wind gets cold. Don't think like that. Think like that week or two in July or August where it's considered a heat wave. If you want to prepare for what other cruisers refer to as 'cool' nights on the deck, think in terms of when you go to see the Canada Day fireworks and bring a windbreaker. And if you bring jeans? Bring your thinnest pair.
I respectfully disagree. I live in Newfoundland, and I always take a long sleeved T-shirt, jeans, and a sweater even when cruising in the Caribbean. Sometimes I've never needed them and other years I wore them loads of times. It can get chilly in the evenings on deck.

It's about a 5-10 minute walk. Just take a right towards the Hilton. You have to walk around it. But it's right on the other side. Stop at the Tiki Bikini Bar. They give you 3 beers and 3 shots for $10
Thanks a lot for the info. It's greatly appreciated. Nassau was supposed to be our last stop last year but due to a medical emergency on board it became our first. We arrived late in the evening, and there were no shore excursions going on and pretty much everything on the pier was closed.
-
Someone pointed out to me there are 2 Junkanoo Beaches. One in Nassau and one in Freeport. I've been writing about the one in Nassau. Just in case there was any confusion.
We're going to Nassau in May. How do you get to this beach from the ship? Is there signage and stuff, or do you have to know where it is to get there?
Thanks.

You can look uo the schedule online to see which ships will be there on what days. Sometimes we were the only ship in port and other times we were one of two or three.
-
For a US citizen it may be ok, but a warning for us Canadians. We have to wait for the US guests to clear customs first. Also, you have to check-in 90 minutes before your flight for trams-boarder. That being said, I was off the ship by 9 with self-assist.
What port does this? We've never had to wait for US guests to be processed before the rest of us. Last spring we were at the airport before 8 a.m.
-
We've always booked a 10:45 a.m. fight and so far have never had any problems.
Enjoy your cruise.

I wish they offered it to UK residents. I would definitely use it! I think it's definitely a missed opportunity for Carnival!
It's not offered to Canadian residents either. I agree with you. I think it is a missed opportunity for Carnival.
Can only US residents do self assist Debarkation?

I don't know if the rules are different by port, but we never had any problem in Fort Lauderdale or Miami.
