We like COmfort inn suites Minola Drive, stayed last August staying again this August, free shuttle from airport, free breakfast, free shutttle to port, rooms are large and clean, eating places around and a gas station across the road if you want to buy some soda to take on board, we are paying 73.00 in August for 3 adults

We have purchased the FTTF for our up coming cruise on The Glory in August, there are 8 of us total, How does FTTf work with the tendering, I read somewhere that you get tender tickets the night before arrival to put you in line, do we do this with FTTF or is their a seperate line for us, just want to be able to get off as soon as possible to get to our excursion
-
If you dont; mind being by the airport, we stay at the COmfort Suites on Minola drive, we stayed there last August and we are booked again this August for one night pre cruise, they have a shuttle from the airport to the hotel, free breakfast in the morning and free shuttle to the port in the morning, we are paying 73.00 for 3 adults in a room, the service was excellent, not great place for site seeing but a good hotel

we were off the Breeze and at the airport by 8:30 last August, we have a 11:40 a.m. flight this year, like you say, anything can happen even with a later flight
-
Thanks everyone, I think we will give it a try
-
We are two families, a total of 8 adults, we will be on The Glory in August, I have read alot about trivia and it sounds like fun, are the trivia contest during sea days or is it in the evening? I assume it will be listed in the Fun Times daily, just thought it might be a good laugh

we book with a travel agent and it is my sister in law, I would for sure book directly with carnival, i am at her mercy to get me the price drops, and just recently we had a problem with them not wanting to give us price drops even though we were Early saver, I really had to press her to contact Carnival and fight for the drop, Just my opinion, they are busy booking new customers, and she says that she is sometimes on the phone for 1/2 hour getting the price drop done, good luck
-
thanks everyone for your advice and information, I contacted my sister in law who is our travel agent and told her it wasnt; right we should get the price drop, Once booked Early saver always early saver, sure enough she called again,, the person she got said for sure and did the price drop no problem at all, I am glad I asked for advice on this forum, we still have 2 months to go so hopefully we may get more
-
Thanks everyone, that is what I am thinking, now I feel worse, so now I have my sister in law the travel agent saying no you are not entitled, bearing in mind she also has a cabin booked so it woudl benefit her as well, I have written carnival as well to find out, i was never charged the 50.00 to change to a different price, i did lose 50.00 when my son could not go and so we cancelled him from the trip, I wonder if Early saver got messed up then, , It is very frustrating, if she was not my sister in law i would be on the phone to the travel agent screaming, I may try the form and see what happens

That is what I thought, but she says that Carnival told her no we coudl not get it because we got the Canadian rate price drop, it is just frustrating

After reading this thread I have a question, so we booked with early saver in January for our August cruise, my sister is a travel agent so she booked it, we got some price drops, no problem about 6 weeks ago she got a canadian rate and got the price drop, no problem we made our final payment, rates then dropped again, after final payment, so I asked for another reduction, she was told that becasue we took a Canadian rate we are no longer in the early saver category no more price drops for us since final payment was made, does this make sense, I am just annoyed we were not told we were being taken out of the early saver program by going with the Canadian rate, any opionions, I thought I coudl price drop to any sale before the cruise

I feel your pain, my husband is a snorer or was he now has the CPAP machine and it is a godsend, wish I could help you, I use to always look for hotel rooms with a seperate bedroom for the same reason, or brace myself for no sleep that night, good luck,

Eeyoregon, thanks so much for the info on cavetubing, I for sure will be booking with cavetubing.bz, I can;t wait, thanks again for the info
-
Thanks to mitsugirly reveiws and many more we are booking with cavetubing.bz, Really looking forward to it, thanks for all the reviews, they have been so helpful
-
I think they are all at the same park, we are going to be using cavetubing.bz in August, they apparently do an extra cave, and they carry your tubes on the 30 minute walk to the water, this is a plus for me, i dont want to be carrying a tube in the heat, check them out you also get lunch and beverages, including rum punch
-
Who are you booking with, we are going to book with cavetubing.bz, some of our group will zip line some will not, we will all meet up at the cave tubing portion at some point, if you are booking privately just email them, they are very quick to respond and very accomodating

Last August we were on the Breeze, the family we traveled with had an 11:30 flight out of FLL, so had to get from Miami to FLL, no problem, we all did self dembark, we were off the ship in minutes, walked out and they got in a cab to FLL, we got in a cab to MIami, this year we will be on the Glory as well in August, they fly out of FLL again, I think they have an early flight again

We stayed at the Comfort Inn North on Minola Drive last AUgust, two families, we liked it, make sure it is the one on Minola drive, anyway, there is a Subway, and Mcdonalds, right across the road, there is also a service station where we bought some soda for the cruise, we walked to a liquor store a few blocks away and bought some wine for the cruise, There is a sports bar restaurant and an IHOP within walking distance, although we never saw them, We ordered Pizza and pasta from Pizza hut they have take out menus in the lobby, it was delivered to the lobby and they set up the breakfast eating area for us to eat at, it was good, we have booked again this August to stay pre cruise, Free breakfast in the morning too, be sure to sign up for the free port shuttle as soon as you check in, it was clean and every one was friendly.

I am really torn which company to book with, there are 9 of us, all adults, some may do the ziplining as well, both companies carry your tubes, VIV is now offering 20 percent off cruise passengers until October so thier cost for cavetubing would be 32.00, BZ is offering 10 percent off thier price so it is 45.00 each, the price is not the most important factor, I dont; mind paying more if BZ is worth it, I see BZ offers a lunch at thier family restaurant with rum punch, VIV offer tamales and fruit punch after the cave tubing, any opionions, We go in August,

Thanks I will check again
-
We booked in January and it has gone up ever since until this week, hoping for more drops before we cruise Aug 16th,
-
Got our second price drop this week for our August cruise, got a Canadian resident price drop, we saved 170.00 this week, hope it keeps up
-
I dont know who told you this but NO you do not have to book with carnival, we will be on the Glory in August and stopping in Belize, we will be booking our cave tubing with a private company, Now I will say if you have a Carnival excursion booked I think you are off the ship first since it is a tendering port, we have FTTF so this will get us off the ship quickly, for sure check out private excursions, they are much cheaper
-
We just chilled ours in our mini fridge in the room, it fit in, then carried it to the dining room, we were never charged corkage fee for any of the 4 bottles that were opened at our table for the week, have fun
