  1. Has anyone added a third person to a cabin after receiving the free offer for two? I'm curious if they charge full price, or if they stick with the discounted 3rd person in a room. BTW, we received an offer from the Atlantic Club in AC - and we only played there one day and we didn't spend very much $$ - woo hoo!

Yes, i got the free off for two and then I added a third person. all I was charged was the third person fee of 399.00 plus port fees. We upgraded to a balcony and the third person was not charged the upgrade fee. Only the first two people had to pay the upgrade.

  2. Thanks! And, you definitely should! :D

It's not like a land-based casino where the drinks are always free. We had the drink cards because we were booked through the Total Rewards voucher from the AC casinos we visit, and part of the package is the free drinks card for both passengers. Otherwise, people get the drink cards when they earn 1500 points from playing. If you do have the drink card, you can leave the casino with a drink. There were a few times when we had not yet finished a drink and were ready to leave, or once when we went to kill time waiting to be buzzed for dinner, when we left with them. I don't think anyone pays very close attention to that.

Thanks. Yes, we have a couple drink cards coming to us via the AC cruise offer. :) We just didn't want to have to always stay in the casino with the drink. I enjoy gambling, but want to budget my money a little.

  3. Thanks! I may just go with the strawberries only. It's just to celebrate our first cruise together and we probably don't need that much.

Do people decorate their cabin doors? Just wondering, because I went on the Monsters of Rock cruise in March and many people decorated the outside of their cabins with band pics, streamers, etc. Some were pretty creative. I don't know if that's something specific to that kind of cruise, or if people do that on regular cruises also.

  4. :D

Well , I am starting to pack for the cruise. Another new adventure post RNY. I have taken the kind advice , and suggestions that have been offered. I think I am ready. I will be boarding on 8-16 and can not wait. I am down almost 30 pounds. Venturing into soft foods slowly. things are going well. I will post again after my cruise to let you all know how it went.

See you under the stars! ;)

I will be anxiously awaiting your post as I am in the pre-op process. I sail on 09/06 and when I get back I go in to have my gall bladder out. Then it's on to the bypass. When I was thinking about booking I toyed with the idea of having surgery first, but then I decided this is my first cruise with my sisters and I don't want to have any limitations right now. I'll have enough of that soon enough. Good luck!!!

  5. Deck 13 hot tub is great. It is in the quiet area but when the ship is at sea it is very windy. Just returned from the dawn to bermuda and now appreciate why we take 14 night cruises in the fall. No kids and no really rowdy young people. Next cruise is the dawn nov 1st for 14 nights. Can't wait!

Thanks for the answer! Maybe I will check it out on a port day. We're sailing on the Dawn to Bermuda on 09/06.

  6. Can anyone tell me about the hot tub on deck 13 (front of the ship)? I read in another thread that it's a quiet area. I've also read that the pool is usually a zoo and having to hang with a ton of rowdy kids doesn't appeal to me. I'd rather hang out in a quiet area with a hot tub or something.

  7. I live less than 30 minutes from the casinos at Tunica, but I haven't been playing as much at the Harrahs properties; lately I've been going to Fitzgerald's or Hollywood. Did certain levels in the TR program get this offer? I haven't received one and think it is probably that I don't have enough play on my card.

In my opinion, rewards programs are are strange animal. I played once Harrah's Atlantic City in the last two years (spent about 600.00 total) and got a voucher for a free cruise, inside cabin. It wasn't a huge selection, but I got a 7 night cruise to Bermuda from a port close by. Family members who played more that I did didn't get anything.

  8. I received an offer for a comped night at a Total Rewards casino in Atlantic City. During my stay I get a voucher for a free cruise. Anyone know if there's a minimum number of nights for which the cruise is offered? I can't seem to get an answer on this from Caesar's AC. I live in CT and if the cruise is only for two nights from Florida, it's not really worth it to me since I would have to fly to Florida.
