I booked in April for a February cruise, final payment is due this week. Trying to make final payment now. The balance due is coming up higher than my invoice. I talked today with a rude rep who raised her voice to me, put me on hold and after 10 minutes disconnected. That's why.

Several days ago I called MSC Customer Service to apply my Voyagers Club Number and have my 5% discount applied. This rep was polite, but quoted me a price higher than the balance I had. She couldn't explain why and asked me send her my invoice. I did, and never heard back from her. I just called again and was also quoted the higher price. This rep said that I booked a TBA on April 20, and didn't call with my information until May 14th when the price had gone up. This isn't true, I gave all my information when I booked on April 20th. She became rude and accused me of calling her system a liar! She also asked me to send her the invoice, but got very angry when I need her to repeat her e-mail address. She put me on hold, after a while I realized she had no intention of coming back. I still need to get this settled, guess I'll try again.

I frequently to go the salad bar, then take it to the deli and have it topped with a scoop of tuna salad.

It looks like I should have done a little more research. We are platinum on both Carnival and NCL. I status matched us with Carnival, that makes us gold. If I used NCL, we would be black. I used Carnival because we have more cruises with them than with NCL.

I saw a group of women playing Mah Jong in lido, one of them was clipping her toenails and letting the clippings fly all over.

The Taste Bar has been discontinued because " not enough people visited it". I think it was just another cut back and I miss it. This happened about six weeks ago, John Heald posted it and it was not available on the 1/7/18 Pride sailing.

Yes, the social media plan works. I have used it for my past several cruises. Since my phone is on airplane mode it is how I can keep in touch with FB messages. It is also great for posting your pictures to FB as you take them.

If you know the names of your favorite comedians look for their FB page. Most of them have a link to their upcoming schedules.

We leave on the Breakaway next week. For months I've been thinking about sharing a plate of nachos and a few margaritas with my husband. I'm not paying $30 plus for nachos. Looks like we'll settle for nachos and rum swizzles at the Swizzle Inn in Bermuda.

We are boarding the Pride in a few hours and will be able to drop off our carry ons first. Then head to Mongolian Wok for lunch. The lines for there are always long and we think that early on the first day it won't be that bad. Then we will explore the ship until time for muster. You are sailing right after us. Enjoy!

We love departing from Port Canaveral, always use the 40% discount, always use a credit card. Bon Voyage!

I think you did the right thing, I would have done the same thing. We always leave the automatic gratuities in place, tip extra in cash if it is deserved. Sounds like he didn't deserve extra.

Glad to see that Allyn Ball is still around! Haven't seen him in years and thought he was over the cruise ship scene. Love his comedy!
We saw Louis Johnson on Conquest a few weeks ago - very good! Will keep an eye on his website to see if he ever makes it to our neck of the woods!
Sorry but I recently read Allyn Ball's obituary. 58 years old, died 3/13.

Yes, that or a driver's license. On our last cruise it came with a hole punched in it, which made it convenient for those who like to have it on a lanyard around their necks. If there is no hole you can have one punched at GS or the casino.

Geez, I thought that the OP was joking or being facetious with this thread until I read everyone's comments taking it seriously. Dummy me.

Enjoying your review, waiting patiently for more. But hurry up. Lol.

October 2014 Calvyn was our CD on the Sunshine. We loved him.

Did you just seriously suggest "sedentary"? My second Carnival cruise we met a 90 year old woman who was traveling with her 93 year old boyfriend.
Carnival is for all ages. It really is what you make it. Not every 80, 90 or 93 year old requires " sedentary"!
Go on that cruise and enjoy yourself. My next 8 Carnival cruises will all be on The Splendor.
Like button! I hope this poster isn't serious about sedentary seniors.

We loved everything on Sunshine except for one thing. If you enjoy the comedians you will discover it. The Serenity area is great. Let the waterfall hit your shoulders. It's a great stress reliever.

I agree with the majority here, the chocolate buffet is very attractive but not tasty at all. I usually stand in the long line for two strips of dark chocolate dipped orange peel, the tastiest thing on the table.

I also use organic apple cider vinegar and wondered the same. I emailed the special needs department this past Thursday and asked them since it only comes in glass bottles. I have not heard back from them yet but I will let you know what they say when I do.
Thank you, ready2cruzagain, I'm glad that you understand!

With the new no bottle rules, does anyone have any suggestions for people who have an apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, cinnamon and honey "cocktail" daily?

I check almost daily and never was able to see them available. On a whim I checked a few minutes ago. I did a double take, couldn't believe it. So 2 $500.00 cards, along with the 5 $100.00 cards I managed to get from AARP points will pay off our September cruise. We also got a $100. price reduction on the latest promotion. Happy dance goin on here!
Contact Maitre'd
in Carnival Cruise Lines

We were on the Legend last month and had a great wait team. We are sailing on her again? next week. In the past I have always directly e-mailed the maitre'd (Ken Bryne) for any seating requests. I believe I read somewhere that this has changed and to contact John Heald a few days ahead of sailing and that he will send any requests to the maitre'd. Does anyone know if this is how it's done now?
