It is above Vista Lounge (Allegro dining room is below that on deck 6)

I heard a band rehearsing there one afternoon--not disturbing in any way tho.

But the latest thing held there is the occasional comedian. They do 630, 830 & 1030 shows.

    Maybe every few days?

Likely we weren't in the room at that late (well, early for us) to hear anything those nights.

    Thanks

I WISH I was the person who could do a live TR...I've tried.

I just get SO busy on a cruise, I never get to it!

Yep, even a 28 day cruise!

    OK...this is my 13th Princess cruise & 42nd cruise in 20 years.

Sailed with DH & a couple from home we have cruised with before.

Originally just booked the UK (I sailed it solo last year & fell in love); but then we saw the TA & decided that is preferable to a long eastbound flight.

It was to ease DH into the idea of longer flights (longest he had done was 6 hrs SF to HI)...then we booked a Europe cruise for last October & he had to fly his longest flights both ways, lol!

I learned last summer that bulkhead is the way to go for my 6'2" DH...he said, that is a pretty good way to go!

DH also wasn't sure about 7 sea days (most he had done was 5 days to HI).

Needless to say, he thought 3 intense port days in a row was more difficult!

I will break things down by category more than by date.

Let me just say there was VERY little to complain about & PLENTY to rave about!

When you were in E715 did you hear any noise from the deck below, since it is above the dinning area. I will be in cabin E709 in February

    Thanks

  3. Celebrity free drink package includes gratuities in their drink package.
Their 14 day cruises are basically cheaper due to not paying gratuities for the drink package.

They should not advertise free drink packages,it is not if you have to pay and additional $690 for gratuity

  4. I was checking on a 14 day cruise with a drink package included.  They then state we have to pay gratuities which is $690 in  gratuities. It makes the initial price look good until they add the gratuities. This is the first cruise line I have been on that makes you pay gratuities for the drink package.

  5. We did the Canary Islands on the Celebrity Eclipse 10 years ago.  14 days out of Southampton. We had a great time, one of the better cruises.  Islands we visited Azores (Punta Delgada), Madeira (Funchal) ,Tenerife, Granda Canaria, Fuereventura ,Lanzarote and Lisbon.

All the Islands had something very interesting to see and do.

I'm glad you feel you are getting your moneys worth, that's very important.  I have felt that way as well, just one comment, the drink package, gratuitites and WiFi are not free, we pay for them in our fare, we're just paying them ahead of time.  Celebrity has always been on the high side, they are now just on the HIGHEST side, at least IMO.

Agree but it still is cheaper then buying them separate.  I just got back from NCL Joy and I had to pay gratuities on the free drink package $160 for each of us. We did not have to pay extra gratuities on Celebrity and the drink package if cheaper on Celebrity.

The price of food and all items have gone up.  With the price we paid and free drink package, free gratuities $400 on board credit and free Wi-Fi. This was all done before inflation took over. I can see were Celebrity had to make adjustment.   I will not be surprised if the prices for cruises in the future with go up drastically.  Yes the OV has limited dinner selections but there are enough selections for me.

I have also seen people eat up to 5 lobster tails at dinner.  A cruise line can not do this with the price of lobsters going up.  What do you think you would pay for a dinner out for lobster tail.  How about the price of a hotel for a night and meals for a day.  You will be paying a lot more then what you are paying for a day on the cruise line.

d to be loyal to any cruise line. There is a lot of competition. Explore the alternatives.

Thanks!  This is a very good summary of the cutbacks.  I did not realize that specialty dining was going up also.  I should have guessed.

It is a very good view of the OVC in the evenings.

We received FCC for our cruise this past July, on the Joy.  It was a significant drop after the final payment.  We had 3 cabins booked and they were all approved.  It doesn’t show up on your account until after the cruise is over. You have a full calendar year to use it, and it’s not transferable.

We received $1200 credit for a cruise that has to be used within  a year

    with all the perks

  10. We were on the same cruise and had a great time. Our friends had their luggage  taken to the ship jail for having an extension cord. They wonder why  they did not get their luggage.  After five hours the room attendant came up with it and said the security  took the extension cord out of their  luggage.
