yes, people lined up before 2 pm for a "registration that opens at 2:45" and the line was so long, the crew decided not to wait till 2:45 and just start dealing out time slots. By the time some people, including me, showed up at 2:30, all the time slots were "sold out". *

Thankfully, my kid doesn't like ice skating anymore, but he was very much into laser tag. Laser tag is open only on the first 2 days, so make ALL the reservations on the app as soon as you get onboard, and you can reserve more than one session, unlike show reservations. My kid loved it so much that he played for hours. Sessions are about 10 minutes long, unlike the app info that says 30 minutes. They mean - you are going to wait for 20 minutes and then play for 10. 🙂

*My town has an ice rink and public skating is only $7 per session - no lines, no waiting. I'd look into that if your kids want to skate. Mine doesn't like skating onboard Oasis class anymore because "the rink is too small and crowded." But when he tried it for the first time on the Allure pre-pandemic and loved it, but they didn't have sign ups and it was just show up and skate.

Am I able to register the whole family

if I stand in line or does everyone need to be there to register? If just me, do they need all sea passes? Thanks!

Make sure to make all the possible show reservations in advance. Make the other ones as soon as you get onboard (like laser tag). Public skating was a bust - they scheduled the registration for it at 2:45 on skating days, but by 2 pm all the time slots were "sold out". Our kid didn't get to skate...

Going a week from today, can you explain what you mean about ice skating. They open registration at 2:45 but it was sold out by 2:00? Ice skating is one of those things my kids REALLY want to do so I want to make 100% sure we get a spot...

OP, I would just plan on paying the child fee for the older child.  It's $10, and it makes everything easy.  If your children eat nothing, and the waiter/manager decides to pixie dust you after eating, all the better.  But this way, you don't have to worry about...anything...related to dining there, separate than your kids' needs.

And I do get kid sensory issues.  The Easter holiday of vomit at the Outback b/c my spouse didn't stop the waitstaff from putting apples with peel in front of my son will forever live in my memory.  The kids don't mean to be difficult eaters - they just are:).

THank you for the very simple and straightforward response without the snippiness everyone else seems to have. I am happy to pay if that is the expectation/policy!

I wish everyone was that considerate 💕

Oh that’s a huge thing for us! We NEVER allow our kids to act up or be too loud in an environment that is not intended to be a kids establishment. Now at El Loco Fresh (a place I would consider kid-friendly), they won’t be the kids running around, but I can’t promise my 4 year old won’t yell out “tequila!” or “it’s taco Tuesday!” (regardless of the day) several times while we are there. He does the same on the Mexico ride at Disney 😂

  5. I know my 4 year old is free if we go to Chops or 150 Central Park. They look like they charge for my daughter (age eight) a reduced price but she truly will not eat anything there even off kids menu (super picky eater). We'd like to bring both kids with us to eat (they won't do AO) but we plan to feed them before. Is there a way to reserve the table for 4 but only pay for my husband and I since they won't eat?

Shows have been released around the 1st of the month, the month before the cruise.  We sail in March and ours were shown in the app and online cruise planner on Feb 1.  Make your reservations as early as possible as ours have been totally sold out for a bit already.

Does it include the full schedule or just the ones requiring reservations? Thank you!

  7. Does anyone have any information about the family-friendly comedy show? I can't seem to find it anywhere even if I go look on different sailings on the app and checking old Cruise Compasses. Is it not offered anymore? If so, was it good? Need a reservation? My husband and I love going to the comedy show but this time we have our kiddos with us so are hoping to not miss the family-friendly one. Thanks!

  8. I'm travelling on Oasis in April and am sooo confused as to the whole time change and all aboard time, etc.
Our itinerary lists us in Cozumel from 7 am to 6 pm. Is that Cozumel time or origination port (Florida) time?

And when they say 7am-6pm, when do we realistically get off the ship in the morning and would all aboard be 5:30? Trying to figure out what time to plan our (independent, not through cruise line) chocolate tour followed by beach break.

    Thank you!

  9. I cannot seem to find a tour that combines Paradise Beach and a chocolate tour. What is the best way to do this? If I did a taxi to the chocolate factory from the port, are there taxis there that I can grab to go to Paradise Beach, and then another back to the port?
I thought about getting a driver to do port to chocolate tour to Paradise Beach (and maybe throwing in a few cool sites like El Mirador) and then getting dropped at Paradise Beach but thought this may be too expensive?
    Any advice welcome!

**Also, welcome any other ideas for unique activities that are good for a 4 year old who is not ready to snorkel, excluding animal encounters for ethical reasons, and think he may get bored by the ruins?
