On Quest last month they now have liquid capsules rather than powder. I usually take my own colour catcher and bounce sheet.

Thank you for a fantastic blog. We came off Quest last month and this makes me want to be back onboard soon. Safe travels home.

Great photos Corrine. They’ve done a lovely job, thanks for sharing.

Russ will be sadly missed on Azamara. A lovely, lovely man with great people skills and boundless energy. Wishing him all the very best for the future.

OMG Liz, you allowed a ship's hairdresser to cut your hair. Big mistake!
The gentleman in question butchered my hair too attempting to do a blow dry. I complained to the Spa manager immediately, it was improved by the other hairdresser and I was also obviously given a refund.
Wasn't happy with my hair until I managed to get to the genius who had previously done my hair in Palma😄
Hope your hair is ok now
Hazel, I’m actually getting ready to visit my hairdresser this morning and I’m sure she will “take a hairy fit” when she sees it. Luckily, my hair grows like wildfire so she will soon have it back to normal. I just don’t know how these people manage to get and keep their jobs onboard.

I think I know who you mean Liz! :D
Hazel has compiled her own book of Hairdresser's of The Mediterranean ...she more or less knows good hair dressers in most of the ports. My hair is easy to do, but I would never have it cut onboard. You can always wash out a bad style but not a bad cut!
Lottie, I think I need to take a leaf out of Hazels book but I didn’t have time before I left and I’ve had a cut and blow dry onboard before which was excellent. Mind you, she was UK trained. This guy was Philipino, maybe that’s the difference.

Had a cut and blow dry whilst on Quest last week and it was horrendous! I didn’t dare go back to have it corrected as there’s no way I’d let him near my hair again.

Welcome aboard Corinne. I'll watch out for you. Sorry I didn't attend CC. It clashed with another I went to.
Different crowd on this cruise from the last two and not in a good way in many cases. Not your typical Azamara guest. However still having a great time.
Phil
I concur!

Just got an email from Azamara talking about using OBC with Trip Planner before boarding. Only a 30 second youtube but the problem is there is no sound. Yes I checked and my sound on my laptop works fine in fact sound works on the next youtube video.
Might be the long awaited using OBC to pre-pay for excursions but, can't be sure as no sound. Appears the IT people have outdone themselves on this posted video??
Same here!

Just received the email. Thank you Bonnie.

Well here we are. Back home again. :D
Easy flight from Heathrow yesterday and we were in Barcelona by 10am. We left our cases st the Terminal and headed next door to The Eurostars Hotel for coffee with a friend.
We boarded by 11:30 am and had more coffee in Mosaic with more friends. Probably why I was up at 6am this morning!
We had a lovely dinner in Aqualina last night and then an early night (for us).
There are lots of young people onboard in their twenties and thirties and for Azamara, quite a few children. Russ told us that most of the guests are first timers on Azamara. He said there were only just over a 100 repeaters, which is very low for Azamara. Maybe their new demographic? Anyway, the ship seemed quite lively last night. I think this is going to be a fun cruise.
In Sete today. It looks charming so we are off for a stroll later and some people watching. It's Sunday, so we are presuming the shops will be shut. The weather is lovely.
Only coffee? Your friend had enough breakfast to share with you too! 😀. Sounds like it’s going to be a fun, lively cruise and hope it’s the same when we get on in 2 weeks. Enjoy!

I’m sure Azamara will sort it out. If you are in the U.K., it may be worth emailing Richard Twynam at RTwynam@azamaraclubcruises.com.

I very much doubt Mr Twynam will sort it out. I’ve emailed him 3 times with an issue I have and have yet to receive a reply to sort it out. :(

Thanks for sharing your opinion. The prices on Azamara are making it increasingly prohibitive for us to continue sailing with them and have us looking elsewhere for our next cruise. We are on quest in June so I will make my mind up after that. I do hope "the powers that be" at Azamara take note of a valued clients opinions.

My friends will laugh at this because they disown me when we do geography trivia because my knowledge is so poor. But I am thinking that lovely restaurant may have been in the South rather than Tuscany if it overlooked the Bay of Naples.
I won't be at all surprised though if I am completely wrong:)
😂 OMG how stupid am I? :'):'):'):')
Sorry...... 😂
-
I remembered!!!! It was called Il Panoramo and it was in the hills not far from Sorrento with fantastic views over the bay.
-
Liz, would you mind sharing where this restaurant was in Tuscany? Thanks
I cannot for the life of me remember the name. We were on a private day tour and the driver took us there. It overlooked the bay of Naples and the food was sublime. All from their own garden. If I do remember it, I’ll let you know.
-
We visited a fantastic restaurant in Tuscany where the owner had his own vineyard. We purchased a case and he shipped it to the U.K. for us very cheaply. It arrived via UPS.
-
Don't panic. I've just started piano lessons. I haven't ever played before, but should be pretty good by June.

I'm sure you could rustle up a wee group of backing singers ;) Phil and his Posse! :D

Myself and my mum have always found the crew on Azamara to be the best. But our most memorable experience was meeting Wayan working in Mosaic on our first sailing on the Quest and his first time away from home in Bali. At the end of the cruise we exchanged addresses etc and kept in touch on a weekly basis. Wayan invited us to his wedding in Bali but unfortunately we were unable to attend. We plan our holidays on the Quest when we know Wayan will be onboard and have met up with him twice when the Quest has been docked in Liverpool when Azamara have kindly arranged for us to spend time with him on and off the ship.
When Wayan's son was born 4 years ago he asked us to name his baby(what an honour). We named him Ellis. We have since visited Wayan, his wife Budi, mum Made and Ellis and spent 3 days with them in their village in Bali. What a wonderful experience. They are now part of our family.
It will be our 10th sailing on the Quest in June this year when we will be once again be meeting Wayan.
Absolutely beautiful! What a lovely experience that must have been 😍

Liz, I’ve got a copy of the front of that daily. Do you mind if I post it here? It was very funny. Way too clever for me to have had a hand in it. Lol

Feel free Phil. ;p
