Going from the higher end of your calculations above, we would need to consider an extra $1225 for our upcoming Haven cruise for gratuities above the DSC for our party of 5? (3 adults, 2 children). That seems a bit excessive on top of the DSC (approx an additional 525 or so can't quite recall...)
So, here's what we do: DOS on the Escape with 4 adults we tip $300 to the butler, $100-$150 to the room steward, and $100 to the concierge. We tip the room steward slightly less if we are in a smaller suite. We don't calculate a certain amount of dollars per day per person...blah blah blah. Those numbers seem fair.

My friend will be on the Escape late October. NCL emailed her with the itinerary change

They may have flagged your account or just checked where it was last swiped. I was on the 8/26 Escape sailing and I'm pretty sure I saw the same sort of thing happen. Adrian, the concierge, was swiping our cards as we left. The escort who led us on the ship on embarkation day was standing next to him. After swiping this particular passengers card, he asked her to step to the side. I saw her a few minutes later while walking down the ramp. She was not a happy camper!!

We're in the D.C. area and always fly in the day before. Preferably an early morning flight to leave a little cushion for flight delays etc. Our second time on the BA, we decide to hop on a 6am Amtrak to NYC. Although we arrived before 10am, I'll NEVER do that again. I was a nervous wreck [emoji15]

Thanks- that's what I thought, BTW how would 'they know what is controlled" or not.I happen to be married to a pharmacist and I know he could tell the difference but wonder if most people would know

Most people won't be able to tell the difference between controlled and non controlled medications. I would take controlled substances in the original container simply because I wouldn't want to confuse it with other meds I may be taking. I take two Rx meds that aside from the numbering look exactly the same. I would HATE to confuse them [emoji37]

I've stayed in that suite with 4, but there is plenty of room for 6. The second bedroom is spacious and I believe the bed is a full or queen. My sister stayed in that bedroom and she has zero complaints. I have a vid on YouTube of the suite also. It's the one that's about 8 minutes long lol.

From what I read, these people were more than likely drugged not drunk. This happened to a friend of mine. He had one drink and woke up the next day on the beach minus $40. He was with friends and the same happened to them! Predators can spot a tourist a mile away and they are targeted.

They do still offer this service. We cruise in late August and our letter along with luggage tags came about 2 weeks ago

I travel with my mother, sister, and my adult daughter. We have stayed in the Haven several times. Most recently a B2B last October on the GA and next we'll be in the DOS on the Escape in August. We have a comfort zone, but the sailings we are considering for 2019 are waaay out of our sweet spot [emoji17]. Mind you, we are looking at Bliss.
My mother and I do most of the planning and we are considering trying out a Spa Mini Suite instead of Haven. I know...the HORROR lol. We're platinum so those perks will help us adjust to the culture shock [emoji15]. We know Bliss will be an amazing experience and personally I want to see what her Haven is like. I've seen the artist renditions and its looks beyond beautiful and luxurious!! Maybe we'll do a more reasonably priced suite on Escape again and wait a few more years for Bliss. Just thinking out loud. I subbed to this thread when it first began and I need to catch up lol. Looking forward to reading about others experiences.

I did a B2B last October and the only thing I ran out of was body cream. I've always been able to get away with the travel size/3 oz or less limits. I use small containers to transfer products that don't come in travel size.

We book a year or more ahead of time to get the suite we want on the ship we want. The closest we've booked was about 3 months before sailing. We make a point to look at dates that include the 3rd & 4th sail free promo. I don't like surprises so booking a guarantee cabin is out the question.

Thank you for the picture. One of the reasons for the confusion was because someone else posted....
So now I'm wondering... What is that thing on the wall with the 2 handles?
I took a screenshot from my video. My sister didn't mention any extra storage above the couch. Judging from your pic it looks like there's a lock at the top. I'm thinking storage for bedding and things for the steward [emoji848]

Thanks for the pics.
I posted a more detailed video. All of the videos I'd come across were too short. Watch with the volume down because my voice is annoying

I've stayed in the H2 on the Escape once and will be staying again in August. While it's only been the 4 of us, there is plenty of room for 6. The sofa bed seems to be a king and the second bedroom a full/queen. I can post a couple of pics. Hopefully they are clear.

Do you know if there is a pull down in second bedroom as I would prefer kids didn't have to share a bed . They sleep better alone.
There is no pull down bed in the second bedroom. You said family of 5, so I'm assuming 3 kids...right? If they need to sleep separately then you're better off in the 2BR suite. Parents in the master, 2 kids sleeping in separate beds in the smaller bedroom, and the other child sleeps alone on the sofa bed in the living room.

We are a family of 5 traveling on NCL escape in the Haven 2 bedroom family villa. I received an email about an upgrade offer to a deluxe owners suite. I don't see how 5 people would fit in there. Has anyone traveled in the deluxe owners suite. The master bedroom and deck look amazing but i think the sleeping situation for the kids wouldn't work. Any thoughts appreciated
We stayed in Escape DOS last year and also have it booked for August. There is more than enough room for 5. Two in the master, two in the sofa bed, and two in the second bedroom. There are two full bathrooms and one powder room. Makes getting ready for the day a lot faster! Enjoy [emoji4]

I've stayed in the 2BR Suite on both the Epic and the Getaway. The master bedroom on the Epic is a bit tighter than on the Getaway. The only thing claustrophobic about the suite is the second smaller bedroom. My sister calls it the "broom closet".

No separate luggage drop off, as far as I know. I either give my bags to the porter or take them on with me.

We were on the August 26 sailing. Make sure you go to Margaritaville for lunch. It's complimentary for Haven guest on Day 1! Question about the Aft suite: is that smaller bathroom a powder room only or does it have a shower also? You'll love, love, love the Haven. Adrian is top notch!
Happy cruising [emoji41]
