Just got married and had to name change mine. They received it on December 2. I received my new one back December 13. I did not pay to expedite it.

We prefer the aft. However can you YouTube both rooms and get a better feel for each?

We were pretty close to the port. We have a cruise in February and booked with them again. Sorry I just saw this. Wondering how your experience was?
-
We used octopus diving on a carnival cruise last September. Very good experience. They were the contracted company for the excursion. We are hitting St Maarten in 2017 and have already reserved with octopus.
-
We've also dove in both St Lucia and St Maarten with both of the same companies. I really can't speak for the snorkeling, but the companies were great. Our least favorite was our experience in St Lucia, however they did take us out to the pitons... It was a long boat ride.
-
St Kitts the dives were pretty shallow. Maybe not more than 30-40 feet. I think you would have a good experience snorkeling there. We used dive St Kitts. They were great.
-
We used one. Loved it. Would do it again.
-
We also used iyanola because the cruise ship used them. Despite great reviews, we weren't impressed. Maybe it was just an off day for them.
-
We've dove with dive st Kitts and octupus diving as well. Great companies. Would use both again.

Following.

We loved that excursion. I can't remember what time we did, but I think it was the early one. So amazing.
-
We dove with blue island divers. It was awesome. My first ocean dive. Beautiful. If we went back to St Thomas I would absolutely book with them again
-
We use a GoPro as well.
-
Carnival used octupus diving in St Martin.
-
Your local dive shops may do a discover scuba course as well. Always great to try it to see if you like it.
-
We dove in both ports. St Thomas had better diving. I know it's not the same, but if we had to pick again we would do St Thomas.
-
We dove in St Thomas and St Lucia. We booked through Blue Island Divers on St Thomas. Thought they were awesome.
We booked through the cruise ship for St Lucia. I believe they used iyanola divers. The sites were great but we weren't impressed with he dive company. If we dove there again we would likely book private.

SolosailorII, I think we were on that same dive with you! We dove St Lucia on that same day.

We loved octopus diving in St Maarten.
We loved loved loved dive st Kitts.
We also loved blue island divers in St Thomas
In St Lucia we booked through the cruise line. I believe they booked through iyanola divers. I was not impressed. Our boat ride was over 40 minutes from the cruise ship. The boat was not a good boat for it. He took us on 2 dives. The second dive he had us swim through such a strong current that most people came up with under 500 psi... And some had under 200. He told us it would be a drift dive, which is fine, but we couldn't get through the current. Also, we were so late getting back to the ship we didn't have time to do anything else... And this was supposed to be a 4 hour excursion. We were gone closer to 7. They spent a lot of time educating us on the underwater wildlife that we would we.

I'm new to Carnival and sailing from San Juan in December. Can you just check your luggage in without boarding the ship at 11:00 am or so? I really don't care when we get on the ship but would like to get our luggage out of the hotel and then we can do some San Juan things until 3-4 or so.
Yes you can. I would recommend doing that. We got to the pier at 1130 and had to wait until after 130 to board. There is very little room inside the terminal to wait.

Galveston has a nice pier.
-
Also, there's no future cruise desk in ships leaving from San Juan and one other port.
-
We booked at an early saver rate through the future cruise desk. I think you can book at any rate, just as you would a normal booking.

Thanks for the great review. Your pictures are awesome! We will be going on the LIBERTY in March. Do you know if it is possible to have the balcony dividers removed? (We will have relatives in the next stateroom.)
Thanks
Yes. On most rooms it's possible. We had ours removed.

Didn’t read all comments but just booked Alaska for June 2019. My PVP had told me the Legend will be getting upgrades before then. It’s scheduled for dry dock in May of 18 I think he said.
Because only certain classes of ships can do alaska, he believes the legend will return there... but we all know that could change.
