We just got back from a cruise that stopped in Barbados. If your looking for beaches, check out the boatyard.

Cost for taxi was to destination, not per person.... At least for us. We had 4.

My time dining means that you can go to the dining room every day at anytime. Kind of like a restaurant. You walk in when your ready to eat.

We just watched Liberty sail out of St. Thomas on the deck cam feature and what a beautiful sight!!!

 

Pauleydm, I hope that you and your fellow passengers have a safe and smooth ride tonight and a great time in San Juan. As I'd mentioned in this thread before, I'm on the 9/20 sailing and have been watching this closely. You have given first hand information that was factual and to the point, with no embellishment or even sensationalism. You have basically been our source for updates. I realize Carnival had more on their plate and they also did an awesome job. Thank you again!!!

I second this. Thank you for the real time updates. They were direct and factual. It was wonderful. It was hard sitting by watching and not knowing what was happening for yall and for the upcoming sailings. I go on the 20th as well.

It will remain in St. Thomas until Friday, at least. That's the day the last of the passengers will debark.

I'm not sure that's what he said. I've gone back and reread his post. It sounds like he has requested to be flown out on Friday but it doesn't say if they will be staying on the ship. Only that they will be getting their flight information by this evening. However, I don't know that carnival would put them up in a hotel.

I emailed my PVP. He said that they haven't announced any impact to future sailings. I'm trying to remain optimistic, but I'm finding it challenging.

Hey Book! We're doing the same! We'll be in on the 16th around 1:30pm-ish... We're staying in Luquillo for the first 4 days and doing a bunch of sight-seeing in El Yunque and Snorkeling at Icacos...and of course the Kioskos! Then after the cruise we'll be at the Courtyard in Isla Verde until we leave on Wed. I sure hope there isn't a problem with the cruise...but if there is, we'll have a nice LONG vacation in P.R.!

We don't have a lot of plans yet... Thinking of hitting crashboat and doing some scuba there. Def going to hit El Yunque and booked a bio bay tour. We're staying in condado. Sadly, were only staying one night after the cruise. This should be amazing though! Safe travels! Maybe we'll bump into each other!

We are on the cruise with you and I am a huge steelers fan also. Maybe we could meet at a pool bar on the sea day. It will be me, my wife and my cousin and his wife on the cruise.

That would be great! We're cruising with a few friends. Always fun to meet fellow cruisers and steelers fans!

We've been worrying about hurricanes up to this point. Wealso hope to sail to all ports as scheduled but our back up is a week in San Juan since our airfare is non refundable, but only time will tell. Seems the cause is still not determined. Yes, Go Steelers!!!

We have 4 days in San Juan prior to our cruise. Haven't figured out what our options are if it doesn't sail, but sounds like she may get back to sailing today or tomorrow. Safe travels!

We're to sail on Liberty in two weeks but did remember the incident in March while in St. Maarten, so I looked it up again and it wasn't an actual fire that time. That incident was an issue with the thruster.

Webcam is showing more people on the deck now. Hope it was small and the evacuations and trucks were more of a formality. Hope you can return to your cruise soon and no changes are necessary.

We've never been to either but will be going in September. We've looked at a lot of picture and have done some research, and are planning on scuba in St Maarten instead of St Kitts. Looks to be a lot clearer.

We have no plans on canceling our cruise and are actually kind of excited for another day at sea!

Silly Q, but how do you know if it's a repositioning cruise and how do you get booked on these? This is something fb and I would love to do!

I got this too, but for an Alaskan cruise in may.
