It’s first come first serve by session/event. They have limits but I’m not sure what they are.
During Covid the limits were lower so they would then limit how long you could stay so more people could use it over the course of a day.

Is there a kids menu for the Teppanyaki? We haven't seen one.
The Kid's menu is the standard kid's menu- not the same type of food as the specialty restaurant of choice.
think simple pasta, hot dog, grilled cheese, pizza, or hamburger... oh and a good banana split for dessert!

Similar to the post above, here is the website that shows what you get and how you can get it is in smaller text for the different items.

The better discount on AARP and no shipping already more than paid for your AARP membership! You saved 75 dollars on 2500 dollars worth.
Yeah I was emotionally attached to my points. I actually paid $12, plus I got back $23 from my capital one card. Not sure why they gave me more than i paid.

@Denverdonkeys which denomination?
I bought 5, $500 ones. I just met checking, it had hit my credit card, and their website said processed but shipping “not available”.
My original Purchase date was 8/10 and they were cancelled today. So I guess they gave it the ole college try at 2 weeks.
-
FYI- I bought $2,500 in carnival cards off all state last week before I decided to join AARP. My order was canceled today. Full refund, they said it was a processing error, but I suspect they don’t have the gift cards any more. Buyer beware!

Nobody needs to know if you don't want to ask for extra linens.
Many times we travel with family and our boys are often booked in their room and stay in ours (or vice versa).

Does anyone have a direct link that works for AARP Rewards? I signed up yesterday, but have been unable to get links to work to the rewards section.

We had 7 nights in the steakhouse, for two - thus seven @ $84.
as well as an internet package... and a cabana rental at Mahogany Bay.
Tom
Yeah- this is a perfect example of I am canceling all of this, give me one refund!

I cancelled our November Pride cruise earlier this week. I had pre-paid for dining and excursions using the AARP cards.
I just received 9 emails this morning, with a refund (new gift card) for each individual charge - so now I have a slew of $84 cards, right up to almost $400... money to burn !
Tom
Why are all your refunds in $84 increments? I would think they would all match the various amounts of your refunded items. I wish carnival would be able to aggregate those refunds when they go to the next step of issuing a new gift card.

I just re-read and realized you have a lot of luggage for 5 days! but yes it is a suggestion/recommendation.

Thanks, $10 craps can get pricey really quick if someone can't throw the dice consistently good.
$5 craps and the table is awesome. $10 craps and it is empty. it's a shame because a fun craps table can improve the casino atmosphere.

Is there language that indicates this or are you implying the 1 bag rule because they only "include" one luggage tag in the base paperwork?
Historically you can print as many copies as you want, but maybe they recently added language to the contrary. this was not the case in March on my last cruise.

Birth Certificate Information
The following are acceptable:
- An original or copy of a birth certificate issued by a government agency (state/county/city) or the Department of Health and Vital Statistics

A clear, legible copy (photocopy) of a birth certificate that was originally issued by a government agency (state/county/city) or the Department of Health and Vital Statistics.
I'm confused on why you copy the information from their website, which says a photocopy of the birth certificate is acceptable, and then tell people you can't use it? Then you attack/name call the people that read the website and understand it correctly.
We sail with a copy of sons' birth certificates rather than the original, because I dont mind losing a $.25 piece of paper if something bad happened to my paperwork. They are younger than 10, so we don't even an ID for them.

The bet there is that the stock won't increase in price between cruises or each OBC will cause you to risk more and more. And if you sell at a loss and then buy again there can be issues.
the stock price between cruises/OBC requests doesn't matter if you buy and sell it quickly. so many brokers allow for free trades, if you buy it and sell it the next day, it would be very hard for the loss to outweigh the OBC.
definitely tax implications to short term (or long term) stock sales.

I have a couple questions regarding the OBC if you buy Carnival stock…
Do you have to own the stock at the time you book or pay for the cruise? I have a cruise in May that is all paid for. Would I still be able to buy stock this week and get the OBC? What is the turn around time?
you need to own the stock at the time you apply for the credit. I actively day trade it, sometimes I own at the time of booking, sometimes not. Sometimes I own at sailing, usually not. ha.
also you can use the trade advice to show you have 100 shares, you dont need to wait for the monthly statement that might slow down your process.

Dumb question, but have 2 cabins coming up. I have 100 shares in my name. If I buy 100 shares in my adult sons name as a gift for him (and he is in the 2nd cabin), we will receive 2 onboard ship credits? Or does 100 shares qualify for both cabins we booked?
if the account is in his name, he can get the credit for the 100 shares. same with you. I have a joint account, If my wife and I split up in cabins (with our kids), i apply for the credit for both of us. I own more than 200 shares, as I believe you should only get one credit per 100 shares. i doubt their system would catch it though as long as both names are on there.

Hmmmmmm..... the last time I ate in the Steakhouse I asked about a second appetizer and was told no. There must be some inconsistency across the different ships.
I have gotten a soup and an app, or a salad an app, but not sure I have gotten 2 "apps"... I know they are all the same, but the last time this happened was March of 2022.

I have kids. I say that because of my next sentence, I have seen many unattended kids hitting them hard and all over. The softer balls might be a safety improvement, or an environmental improvement. However, kids (mostly) hit them so hard and around they lose them and I dont think carnival replaces them very quickly. Last cruise it was a long wait later in the week.
As a result- I have had thoughts about bringing our own balls so that we can play when we want. It might be awkward to "cut" in line and then walk off with our balls. But they are my balls, you can only play with them if I consent to it! 🙂

I have done a few thousand dollars this way. I also avoided the 3% S&S table game charge by putting into my slot machine bank and then cashing it out to take to the tables. I did so much because we had tons of gift cards from previous cruises canceled during COVID and wanted to use it all up. I didn't necessarily gamble it all...
It is easier to use the $500 or $1,000 to load it though, that's a guest services issue, not a casino issue. Casino does not care how you pay off your player's bank.
-
As I understand it, the ships that do the cashouts are usually older ships with less sophisticated casinos. the newest ships will definitely give you fun play chips or assign it to your slots bank.

I don't know why the cruise lines continue to split hairs like this. Some ports? Why not just bite the bullet and do what NCL did? OR in the alternative, stand your ground and keep things the same. It's a real hodgepodge now between the different cruise lines. SMH
It’s probably a way to test the policy.

Last month on the dream they increased minimums on craps to $10. I was pissed, apparently a few others were too because they had just gotten off vista (or maybe breeze?) and it was still $5.
that is a big jump for craps, table was never full or even close to it. Ruined the vibe and the community feel to a fun table.

I don’t have a picture but it had:
cheeseburger w/ fries
chicken nuggets w/ fries
cheese pizza (different than normal pizza offered on Lido)
pasta of the day (marinara sauce)
desserts and were:
jello
ice cream scoops
cookies
banana split
My Boys would usually order off the main menu, or sometimes mix and match between the two. If they were adventurous on their order, we would order a chicken nuggets as back up.
Pullman vs. Sofa bed. Which is more comfortable?

pullmans are more comfortable for sleeping, but more difficult to get into. not sure how tall the 29 year old is, but I would prefer the couch as a 6' 1'' 38 year old male.
