Contemplates Posted February 1, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 1, 2011 Frank, I have booked on Eclipse and have been allocated stateroom 8282 as well. Just wanted to know how you found it and ask if you have any photos of it? Thanks
dwc3388 Posted March 30, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 30, 2011 For the eclipse, the obstructed verandas are only on deck 6 because of the lifeboats underneath on deck 5. The lifeboats are "on the ceiling" on deck 5 so when you stand on a deck 6 balcony, you cannot see the water below.
ctbeacher Posted December 3, 2011 #7 Share Posted December 3, 2011 The DW and I were on the Eclipse in March and snagged an exceptional rate for a guaranteed veranda. We were on deck 6 and had a lifeboat under us. It really was no big deal. Yes, we could not look down into the water, but we had a nice view above - enjoyed the sun and sky. I guess if you get a really great deal it is worth it to snag the deal, enjoy a drink on the verandah and look up.

Had a look at Librarylady's cabin compilation and there were some issues for Eolipse's 6156. We'd like midship and mid level cabins less chances of being seasick and also convenient for either lift station. Many thanks
