Smoking on Epic

I am looking at booking a cruise on the Epic. The friend I would be traveling with is allergic to cigarette smoke. I know there is no smoking in rooms or on balconies but what is it like on the rest of the ship? Can the smoking area be easily avoided? Is there any smoking permitted inside the ship?

Not making any judgements, at some point during the cruise will almost assuredly encounter smoke. Just the nature of the beast. The only place it can get bad is in and near the casino. Easily is a relative term. As long as y'all do not got through the general area of teh casino you should be fine though.

I’ve only ever been on one cruise. In June we sailed on Holland America’s Eurodam. Smoking was only permitted on one side of the aft outdoor pool, so it was easy to avoid.

Just off epic on 9/9/18. Travelled with a smoker. Didn’t smell cigarette smoke in casino. Only place smelled was designated smoking area on pool deck, deck 7 by lifeboats which is a smoking area and cigar lounge.
