Pacific Sky Asia cruise 18th March 2006

When I saw the advertisements last week I felt a little hesitant to book one of the Pacific Sky cruises to Asia. It seemed like good value though and caught my eye.

We had enough Frequent Flyer points for us to fly free to Singapore so we decided to give Sky another go. As Qantas were changing the FF points scheme we had to book the flight and cruise by 25th May so we'd arrive in Singapore before 18th March.

Some may not agree with me but my personal preference is to book directly with P&O which I did.

I was able to get an outside cabin and I have been allocated the cabin number.

I was told though I can be moved but its unlikely with a double cabin to be moved.

We have paid the deposit and dont have to pay the remainder until Jan 2006.

We have booked on the 14 day cruise leaving Singapore 18th March.

This will be our first cruise we have actually flown out of Australia to join.

As we live in Qld we have been trying to find out as much info as we can on the Sky. At the moment the ship is in dry dock and I believe is being re furbished as well but not certain.

I think we should have a standby plan if we get to Singapore and the Sky has broken down etc.

If anyone is going on any of the Sky cruises to Asia from Feb 2006 Id like to swap info with.

Cheers

I thought the advert said it included airfare. I too thought it was an amazing price seeing how expensive the airfare just to singapore. Was that a misprint.Hope not as we are still thinking about it too.

In the P&O brochure it only offers cruise fare.

On the website it offers flight and cruise packages, but you have to book by July 31, 2005 and it is an inside Q grade only.

Hi

The brochures I have include airfares so it appears to be very reasonable BUT

I am still concerned about the Sky making it.

As we used FF points for the airfares if the cruise is cancelled at least we will be going to Singapore anyway.

It is very dissapointing when a cruise is cancelled but with travelling anyway there are no guarantees with anything!

I think the Sky Asia cruises are good value.

Check out the brochures
