happy_travellers Posted September 14, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2017 Hi Just found out that we will be going to Antigua instead of St Maarten because of the hurricane damage to St Maarten. Going on cruise Oct/17. Have been to the island twice as a couple but this time taking our 9 year granddaughter. I don't think the stingrays would be for her but would love some other ideas. I have rented a car just in case but am open to other ideas or ideas of where to go with the car rental. Thanks Karen
happy_travellers Posted September 17, 2017 Author #2 Share Posted September 17, 2017 Found the donkey sanctuary http://www.antiguaanimals.com/donkey/ I think that would be an interesting experience for her. Then on to Dockyard and then a beach maybe Pigeon Beach? Anyone been to the donkey sanctuary? Thoughts
Coolwhip82 Posted October 9, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2017 We have the same issue, but going in November with an 8 and 3 year old. I am booking with Lawrence of Antigua for an island tour and beach break. I asked him about stopping about the Donkey Sanctuary for the kids and he said it was not good. So I have not been, but from a person who lives there sayings its not good means something to me.
