Purdue76 Posted December 14, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2017 Has anyone used Squaremouth to purchase travel insurance? Your experience and thoughts? Also, if you had to submit a claim, was Squaremouth helpful if you needed their assistance? Thank you for your time and effort in answering these questions. KathyJud Posted December 14, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2017 I am using it for an upcoming cruise. First time using it. Usually have used Travel Guard but it was not a Squaremouth company. Squaremouth was less expensive for the same coverage for over 70. I have never had to use my travel insurance so I hope that record continues. MTJtraveller Posted December 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 15, 2017 I have used Squaremouth for a number of years and have found their customer service reps very helpful. I had need of using my insurance, ironically the very first time I had insured a trip, and was quite pleased. I dealt directly with the insurance provider. I have always purchased insurance thru. Squaremouth since.
cargo13 Posted December 17, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 17, 2017 Squaremouth is an intermediary for travel insurance providers. Squaremouth does not offer its own travel insurance. I have found Squaremouth website helpful to compare insurance plans & providers but always book directly with the insurance provider because if you have a claim (like MJT states), you go directly to the insurance company. We found Generali (used to be CSA) on Squaremouth and their website coverages http://www.generalitravelinsurance.com are the highest and plans are affordable. GENERALI paid our claim online.
