buffalobob716 Posted August 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2018 Has anyone done this excursion? What are your thoughts on it. We are looking to do a cheaper shore excursion thru Royal Caribean and this seems like it has a little of everything.
rccljunkie Posted August 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2018 I am looking for the exact same information! We are wanting to book that same excursion but I’m hoping to get some feedback on it first. Hopefully someone on here has experienced it and will respond. We are still on the fence about booking it but our sailing is just 3 weeks away so we’re running out of time to make a decision. I was really hoping to hear something about it first from someone who has experienced it.
buffalobob716 Posted August 22, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted August 22, 2018 We aren't going until October. If you do decide to go, can you let me know how it is?

rccljunkie Posted September 18, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 18, 2018 We aren't going until October. If you do decide to go, can you let me know how it is? We just returned from our cruise yesterday and did the Aromas of Havana excursion on Friday. A lot of people signed up for that one and they had us broken up into 4-5 groups of about 15 people each. Each group had their own large air conditioned bus to go on. Overall, we thought the tour was just okay. We were disappointed in the cigar factory portion because it was what we were most excited about and it was a very quick stop and photos were not permitted in the factory - only in the lobby of it. Though it was really neat to see the Cubans making the cigars, we were not there but a few minutes and not a lot of information was given there either. We did not go to a rum place like I hoped we would - only to a shop that sells rum and cigars. The highlight of the tour for us was a visit to the 1803 restaurant where we all sat in a nice dining room and got to sample cigars, rum and coffee. They served us mojitos and bottled water too and Cuban sandwiches were available upon request for about $8 plus tip. That was a nice break in the tour. They also drove us around Havana for a while, pointing out different sites and telling us about them. They made a stop at Revolucion Square where we could get off and take pictures. Our last stop was about 45 minutes at the large market to shop for souvenirs, which we appreciated. Then they took us back to the ship. There were parts of it we liked and parts of it that were disappointing. We did a Blexie tour the day before the RCCL excursion and I think after that amazing experience, anything we did through RCCL would have seemed disappointing. The Blexie tour was incredible! Let me know if you have any questions. I would be happy to answer them.
