Car Rental Qs

Considering it would cost as much in a taxi to get to and from where we want to go, we've decided to rent a car for the day instead.

Who should we rent through? Is insurance included in the price? What are some things to beware of/cautious of? We'll be on the Glory, not sure where she docks, so where is the actual car rental company located? Will they be right near the dock?

The sites at cancunmap and CozumelInsider have good info on car rental. The cancunmap also has a wonderful Cozumel map, very detailed, and lots of great info on the map. It can be ordered online and received in about 3 days since it comes from the US. It is $7.95. We have used it til it is worn out.

The CozumelInsider website has a listing of the ships and which dock they use, so it helps to determine where you want to rent from if you want to rent at the dock. I highly suggest renting online in advance to save time and money. There will be a long line to wait in and cars may be scarce when you arrive. It has been recommended to get full coverage to avoid problems.
