Cabins on the Pride

Opinions needed about what we should choose....

We are torn between booking a Cat. 11(Suite) or Cat. 8I(Ext. Balcony). Is the $940.00 difference between the two worth it????

If we book Cat. 11, we'll be on Deck 6. If we book Cat. 8I we have a choice of Decks 6, 7 or 8. Which deck is better???

We will have myself, DH and 16 year old son in cabin.

We had one of the aft wrap-around balcony category 11's on the Carnival Pride. We thought that is was worth the difference in price, partly because we also had our teenage son with us.

Some of the pros:

Key advantage for us: Our room (8273) had a door between the living area and the bedroom, which was nice for privacy and if one person wanted to take a nap. I think that just SOME of the category 11's have the two-room configuration, so if that is important make sure that yours does.

The balcony was HUGE!! It wrapped around the back and side of the ship, so there were times when one of us could choose to be in the sun or the shade - or more in the breezy area.

We had priority embarkation, and we felt like we were the first people on the ship.
