Falmouth vs Nassau shopping/drinking

Hi, have been to Nassau twice on previous cruises including Atlantis. Next cruise we are stopping in Falmouth. Now, I liked shopping at the Port shops, straw market, bargaining with the locals and drinking in the bars. Little side Street shops with jewelry and hand made articles. Is there anything similar to this in Falmouth? And what is meant by the "Cruise Bubble"? Thanks.
