We have three couples signed up for the following private tours and would like to invite two more couples to join us. Following is our schedule for Tauranga (our last port in New Zealand):

0930 depart port [ships ETA is shown as 0900]

1015 Arrive Kiwi360 for a drive through orchard tour [15 mins]

1045 Depart Kiwi360 for Rotorua

1130 Arrive Rotorua for city sights [Government gardens, Bath House, Blue baths, not entry to these.]

1230 Board Lakeland Queen for a buffet lunch cruise

1400 Depart Lakeland Queen for Te Puia

1415 Arrive Te Puia for guides tour of the Geysers, mud pools, kiwi bird house, wood carving and flax weaving.

1515 Take your seats on the Marae for a traditional maori cultural performance.

1600 Depart Rotorua for Tauranga

1700 Arrive Tauranga to rejoin the ship [ETD is shown as 1800]

Total cost of above for 10 persons is $1970.00 or $197.00pp [all in NZ dollars) This is about $143 US at today's rate. If this interests anyone, we have two couple spaces left as we have three couples commited and we would like to have five. Email ian@mctours.co.nz and indicate you might be interested in joining us. Tauranga web site is http://www.mctours.co.nz.

The Dunedin tour is for 2/10 and the web site is http://www.arthurstours.co.nz and consists of the following, which is tentative, as we will have to decide if we want to spend the extra money for the Albatross Colony since the birds will be nesting.

City Sites, Lamach Castle, Penguin Place and the botanical gardens. The email address for this tour is ArthursTours@xtra.co.nz for more information. This is part of the email I received from them: "The tour price per passenger will be N.Z.$135.00. The tour price covers all travel from and return to the ship, all entry fees to the listed attractions. Time for refreshments during the tour at own cost.

Yes the Albatross will be on their nests. At this point in time I have no idea as to the number of birds / nesting spots we will be able to see. We can still visit the area if you want to as it is very close to Penguin Place. If we visit the colony there will be an extra entry fee to add on, ($40.00). If we visit the centre only there will be no extra cost."

Still looking for those two extra couples!! Please email them directly to make arrangements and let me know at tbarnes105@aol.com that you will be with us. Trish B (California)
