Papagayo Tender Port

Azamara will be doing a country-intensive cruise in January 2018 that includes a maiden call at "Papagayo." I have booked a local tour but don't know where the tenders will be dropping us off. Does anyone know? The google maps satellite picture of the area shows a marina at the north end of Culebra Bay -- is that the place?

That is the only place that makes sense. They have a small marina that could handle tenders. There is a Four Seasons located nearby to the marina.

OTOH my local vendor has suggested we would tender to Playa Panama near Papagayo Village. There are four hotels there plus an Avis outlet, but no sigh of a pier.

Yep, there's no pier on Playa Panama. There's also no waves on that beach, so I guess they could bring you pretty close to shore, but you would get your feet wet.
