Star*Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta*April'05

Hi everyone....anyone else going on The Star April 10 for the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta cruise? We've been on the Royal before for two weeks and loved every minute. We visited the Star when both ships were in port together, so we know the obvious size and space differences. Any other differences in service, etc.??

We are really looking forward to this package trip. First two days aboard Stars & Stripes, True North and Canada out of Marigot...then aboard the Star for eight days...the last three at Antigua with two days racing the Star against other Tall Ships. Last night award banquet and ceremonies aboard the Star. We're going to take a week in Anguilla to unwind before heading home. Love to chat with anyone else going....

Sadly, Captain Uli P, of the Star, passed away recently...but we're told that the Clippers' owner will be the skipper that week....

We just booked on Star Clipper for the 2005 Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta. We did Greece & Turkey for 2 weeks in 2003 on Star Flyer and loved every minute! Heard from other passengers that the regatta is a lot of fun so put it on our list of adventures. Hope to see you onboard!!

Hi Karen & Michael...

Beatrice and I look forward to meeting you. We will be in cabin 327 on the port side, Clipper Deck. We're staying at the Beach Plaza Hotel in Marigot for two days early as part of a package with the National Maritime Historical Society, then a week on Anguilla afterwards. I read your other post about Greece..and Beatrice will be anxious to ask you about Patmos, which she is visiting in June.
