RVman Posted November 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2017 (edited) Just wondering, we have some friends who were actually born in Cuba and their dad fled with the family when he felt like it was changing to full blown Communism. They got out just in time. Anyways they are wanting to go back and visit. They actually cried when I showed them our pictures we took a couple weeks ago. To be honest they are scared to death tho, I'm trying to convince them that it will be ok. I was wondering is there anyone in this forum who was born in Cuba that has returned to visit on a cruise. They are considered Naturalized citizens now. Thank You Edited November 6, 2017 by RVman
Langoustine Posted November 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2017 (edited) They are considered Naturalized citizens now. Yes, by the U.S. But not necessarily by Cuba, which may consider them to still be Cuban citizens. They need to sort this out with the Department of State before they go. Here's a link to the U.S. Embassy in Cuba web page that addresses this issue: https://cu.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/dual-nationality/ Edited November 17, 2017 by Langoustine
