QE2 - Tips ?

QUESTION: What is the current recommended daily tipping (in $) on the QE2 for a category C3 stateroom? Is it charged to your account or can you still hand out the tips at the end of the cruise?

There is a daily amount charged to your account and this varies with the cabin category. What you can also do to get exceptional service is to tip a small additional amount to your cabin attendant and waiter at the BEGINNING of your trip and tell them there will be an additional amount at the end if service is good.

They will fall all over themselves giving you the best service they can. At least that was my experience.

All C and M are 11$ per day and they are automatic charge to your room account. We leave the standard tip and gave the room attendant and waiters extra at the end of the cruise.

There is also the option of opting out of the daily charge and handling your tipping yourself.

We didn't tip in advance and found all of the staff to be falling all over themselves to give us exceptional service anyway. Nothing was too much trouble. Every detail was remembered. We gave everyone huge tips on top of what was charged to our account because they really deserved it!
