Artemis in 2006

I am very sure that I will be on the ship next Nov for two cruises. One a 25 day Southampton to Southampton in the Med and a 40 half of the Grand Voyage to Singapore. Has anyone been on it since it went to PO that had been on it when it was the Royal. Almost everyone that was on it that I have met loved it. Wondering about now. Are there many Americans aboard?

Thanks

We have just returned home a few days ago after a cruise on Artemis. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and can say that the ship is lovely, although we felt that the cabins need a little TLC. The food was of a very high standard and can thoroughly recommend the Indian Buffet night which is held at least once during the cruise. We understand that the casino is now smaller than before and has made way for a CyberStudy room. The shops have been redesigned as has the atrium which now has a bar and chocolate counter overlooking the "Seagulls" sculpture. We had a great holiday and would certainly go on Artemis again. There were a few Americans on board but it was a mainly British passengers.

Hi there jig. Responding from way down here in Melbourne. We will be joining Artemis on the 25th. for the full Grand Odyssey. We'll have to try to find each other. I have a shaved head and look like Alf Garnett ! Cabin on A deck. This is try number two for us. We were aboard Aurora in Jan. for the full round trip but alas, big trouble with the starboard prop and we were all bundled off after eleven days of sloshing up and down the English Channel. Most passengers displayed the "Spirit of the Blitz" the British are so famous for and took it all rather well. Of course the constantly "open bar" (including the restaurant at night) for all eleven days probably helped ! Artemis booked out almost overnight because the intinerary was very similar to that of Aurora and we missed out. After nine months on the wait-list we finally got our cabin. Hope to catch up Jig Cheers Peter.

Jig. Talk about dumb!! Noticed my mistake regarding your planned voyage in Artemis as soon as pressed "submit" I should read things properly! No matter, I'm sure you will have great time. She was extremely popular as Royal Princess. Let's hope the make-over hasn't erased her famous "personality" and spirit. We may nerver catch up but we "sort of met" anyway. Cheers Peter.

Try this website for photos of Artemis :- pobore.photosite.com (no www. BTW) There are some lovely photos of the cruise I have mentioned taken by another passenger on the same holiday. I don't think he would mind if I recommend them.
