Anthem Day 2

Recommended Posts

Hi, Everyone!

Our Anthem sailing is coming up in about three weeks, which means that it's not too long until the obsessive weather-checking starts. Anyone have an approximate latitudinal location on an Anthem sailing headed down to Florida by Day 2? Would somewhere similar to Virginia be an appropriate estimate?

Thanks!

Laura

When we were on the Anthem it seemed it had a pretty steady speed between one port and the next, usually just the distance divided by the hours. So you can pretty much figure the average speed and using some type of map get a good idea of when she will be where.

You can try the below link for the do it yourself mapping, click on the "waypoints" tool at the top of the "toolbox" and plot the approximate course of the ship to try to figure out the routing and when.

Or, since it seems to be doing the same itinerary for the next few weeks you can check it's location (most of the time) with one of the cruise ship tracking tools like the below exactly a week or two ahead of the time you would like to know the location. For the below, type the name of the ship into the search icon field.

But to make my best guess at answering your question, at about 20 knots for 18 hours (9-10am or so) I would say probably, more likely off Cape Hatteras, NC.

Have fun!
