CruiseMe2018 Posted February 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2018 We are renting a car in Juneau in late May. Looking for more details on Eagle Beach, Glacier Gardens, and Skaters Cabin. My parents are in their 70s and not into a lot of walking. ;) ;)Are these locations easy to walk to and are they worth the walk? We will also stop at Mendenhall Glacier. I have been there before but not the other places. Thanks all! CC rocks!

wolfie11 Posted February 16, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2018 I have been by Glacier Gardens but never in there. There is some walking I would imagine unless they have a golf cart they will take you around in if you can't walk. Skater's Cabin is next to a parking lot and easy to access, but it is an empty stone building next to a parking lot. Nice view of the glacier but nothing else there except some trail heads. the same for Eagle Beach. It's a nice beach used by locals but no facilities. The Shrine of St. Theresa is nice as well. You can drive to the end of the road for some nice views of glaciers, get something to eat in the Valley, or drive over to Douglas Island and drive around the island,
