Juneau taxis? Uber?

I rented a car for my party in Juneau. We are scheduled to dock at FST(?) (aka Franklin St)

Google maps says Avis is 0.5miles south of that dock. Will there be taxis available or Uber? Or... Is the walk an easy one?

From my research, that might be the case (AVIS being a half mile from the Franklin Street dock. I think it might be a bit more than that, but not positive. In any case, Juneau Car Rental, the other company on a different street, is also in that same area. You can apparently just walk down the waterfront (south) to get to Juneau; would be a bit more to Avis, I believe. I've been told it's closer to a mile from where we dock, which is a slightly different dock from you. Supposedly it's about a 20 minute walk - fine for some people but not for others. Juneau recommends two different cab companies, but I don't have my info in front of me, so can't tell you which ones. I've also read that there are Uber drivers in Juneau. I would guess there would be taxis sitting by each cruise ship as well, but I'm not sure. Sometimes in ports I've been to they can be a little picky in who they take because they want more than just a 4 minute ride down the road. I've also read that a taxi from around the tram to the AJ dock (which is by Avis and Juneau Car Rental) runs $8-10.

But the above is what I've read, been told, or figured out for myself; I can't guarantee it's 100% accurate!
