When to book excursions?

We will be on Legend out of Rome in 2 weeks(!!). Is it best to book ship excursions before we leave or can it wait until we are on board? I don't want them to be sold out but also not sure what we want to do yet!

Book them now.

Id book them when you can afford them if you can book them now , BOOK them NOW. Why risk the stress of dashing down to the desk the day before and praying they will still have space for you all?

I had planned to DIY an excursion in Norway only to discover that the train I was going to go on was fully booked and we couldnt. The sheer panic i had when i arrived at the desk to do a ship excursion and for them saying there might not be any space left ..... never again ! Thankfully though they did find room for us so it all turned out ok :)

I always book them beforehand as I wouldn't want the stress of trying to arrange it once on the ship and they would probably be sold out by then.

Thanks all! The adventurer in me thought it might fun to wait and see what I felt like doing once we got there, but you're right. Stress-free is key here so I will pre-book!
