Erin Dreamer Posted August 9, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2018 We will arrive as passengers on a cruise. Does anyone know if taxis that have not been hired ahead of time line up at the port? Is there a fixed price? A minimum number of hours? Thank you.
marylizcat Posted August 9, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2018 There is a taxi rank. £35 per hour. http://www.cruiseglasgow.com/port-information/inverclyde-taxis Sent from my iPad using Forums
Erin Dreamer Posted August 11, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted August 11, 2018 Thank you, Marylizcat. Would I have to book ahead with this company, or do you think we might be able to just get a taxi at the port that day? I have seen mention of that taxi and it seems you also have to book for a minimum of four hours. I was thinking something closer to three hours might be good, but four hours is definitely doable. CRUZIN SUSAN Posted January 2, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2019 A few years ago we walked to the train station within ten minutes and went to downtown Glasgow. We then got on a hop on hop off bus. Very inexpensive way to get to the city and a great look around.
