Mach1 Posted March 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2006 Hi, has anyone been on this excursion? You sail on a 140 ft 19th Century Tall Ship, the Brig Unicorn (this is the ship used in the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean) You sail out to Pigeon Island and Fort Rodney. Then you can do treasure hunt. Looking for some info, any help would be great. Thanks:) you
lrm Posted April 11, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2006 We did this last year and really enjoyed it. We chose to walk up to the fort--but you can also swim if you prefer. The sail over was nice. I would recommend it. Happy sailing!
Martin and Lindsey Posted April 11, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2006 We did this tour last week. It was a fun afternoon out (We'd done the aerial trek in the morning) We thoroughly enjoyed it. The sail on the Brig Unicorn was great - very impressive ship. Several of the crew were in the film Pirates of the Caribbean and will sign posters if you want their autograph. The bar is open for Rum punch or non-alcolholic drinks. When you get to Pigeon Island, they tender you to the island, where you can either do the treasure hunt, with lots of prizes (we won a bottle of rum), swim and sunbathe or explore Fort Rodney. It's quite something watching the crew get the sails unfurled to sail. It's like watching a trapeze show as they climb and swing from the ropes.
