First time cruise, these are the excursions, things we're planning to do....thoughts/ suggestions, book through cruise or ????

Grand Cayman

Shopping exploring noon til 2:30

Costa Maya

Ancient Mayan Cityof Chacchoben/ Mayan Ruins

Beach/Snorkeling or Shopping exploring 3 to 6pm

We are doing this cruise two weeks before, so I can't offer "been there done that" advice. However, make sure you allot plenty of time to get back on board. The departure time listed in the itinerary is the time the ship leaves, not the "all aboard" time, which I believe is typically 30 minutes before. Especially for tender ports (Grand Cayman) you'll want to be back well in advance. Enjoy your cruise, we are super excited to be getting on board on the 11th!

Chankanaab is easy to get to by taxi and the dolphin encounters are cheaper booked through Dolphin Discovery directly.
