Question on Kronborg Castle Opening Hours Vs. Ticket Office Hours

I am coming to Copenhagen this summer for a cruise and want to see Kronborg Castle.

I realize the castle is open at 10 AM so I was planning to get there slightly before 10 AM so we're ready to see the castle when it opens and still be able to make a train back to Copenhagen in plenty of time for our cruise.

However, the castle website is confusing. Unless I am reading it wrong, it says the ticket office does not open until 11 AM. Does this mean that you can't buy a ticket to enter until an hour after the castle is open? That doesn't really make sense and will certainly shorten our time available at the castle.

Any clarifications from people who have gone to Kronborg relatively early in the morning would be appreciated. Thanks!

It seems to be the case.

My suggestion would be to buy the print at home tickets so you have your tickets ready on arrival.

Kronborg opens at 11:00 except mid summer, so I think it is an error on the website you visited.

It really seems strange that the box office opens after the castle is open to the public.
