Bermuda not accepting expired passports!

I just got back yesterday from 6 day cruise to Bermuda on the Empress of the Seas and just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that despite what all the brochures say, if you try to board the Empress with an expired passport, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE SHIP!! You will have to also have you Birth Certificate as proof fo Citizenship! After 15 minutes of sheer agony, they finally said that I would be able to board! It was the worst 15 minutes of my life! The woman that was checking me in said that I was lucky because that morning they did refuse to let several people on who had expired passports! Believe me, I was so grateful!!

Anyway, the rest of the trip was fantastic! We were a party of 10, most of us first time cruisers...and we loved everything about the Empress! Especially Boleros lounge! Do not miss the Dueling Pianos...they were the best!

I just used my drivers license! They never even asked to see my birth certificate!

BTW, I was on the same cruise. How jealous are you of that guy who won $7000 at bingo on the last day!!! I won a measely $180 that day which all went back into the casino hehehehe
