Iron inside cabins on QM2

Could someone advise if there are irons available to press clothing within the cabins onboard the QM2 or is one required to use the laundrette? Packing as I type and would rather do it later. Thanks.

I know there are laundries on most of the cabin decks and they have an iron & board. I did not see anything about doing so in cabins.

We were told that is a big "no-no" because of the fire hazard.

You will have to go to the laundry room. I do not believe any Cruise Lines allow in room irons and they are usually confiscated from luggade when they show up on x-ray. But you may bring a curling iron!

They never confiscated my travel iron, but I didn't end up using it anyway. I hung the items I was worried about wrinkling immediately upon getting into my cabin and miraculously, that seemed to be sufficient.

Either that, or I became so relaxed once onboard, I didn't give a hoot about a few measly wrinkles! Champagne and cosmos are the mind's iron, I guess!

Hi!,

Went to a meeting last week hosted by our TA, there was a Cunard representative there I asked about the iron in the room and she said she saw no reason why you couldn't bring one. Just passing on what I was told, hope she was right.

Check the brochure terms and conditions. i'm sure it states that irons are forbidden.
