Walk to NOLA cruise terminal?

From what I'm reading, it's best to stay at a hotel near the cruise terminal rather than the airport, but are there any hotels near the cruise terminal that provide a shuttle or are close enough to walk to the cruise terminal? We will likely take a taxi from the airport to the hotel the night before the cruise...just trying to figure out the best way from hotel to cruise terminal.

Thanks...I had read that thread and the only mention (that I can see) is about the Hilton Hotel.

Just got off the Spirit on the 25th. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott at 300 Julia. I wasn't sure were the actual entrance to the port was so we took a taxi. It was $14 for 2.

We left from the Julia St terminal and it wouldn't have been that bad of a walk (walked farther in the airport to get to the plane). It was about 2 short blocks and then a long block and it on your right.

The hotel room was a nice & quiet. We paid about $69 a night for 2 of us. The lobby has a cafe but if you walk the 2 short blocks towards the pier you have Mulate's on the left. It's cajun food and has live music.
